Allow people who went "afk" in a game to receive credit for winning the game

Today I played a game of ranked, about 15 minutes into the game my internet went out. It took about 8 minutes for me to get back into the game. We then manage to come back and win and the game was like 35 minutes long. I come to the end game screen, my promos ended, and I lost 32 lp. Honestly so tilting for your game to count as a loss because you missed 8 minutes from a 35 minute game. I understand why they would implement this, so those who go afk do not receive a win. But the odds of someone winning a 4v5 is pretty unlikely anyways. This system probably hurts more than it helps.

at the end of game if 4 players vote and 3/4 believe the afk deserved lp, the afk gets their lp, that way ragequitters are punished while the people who had internet problems get to win that would be a good solution imo

From someone who has experienced this exact situation.

I agree that it feels bad and isnt ideal for the times shit does go south unintentionally and out of your control, but it shouldnt happen enough to be more than a feelsbad moment rarely. Its supposed to be more impactful towards people who intentionally AFK, and it likely is.

If they can find a better system, im all for fixing this, but i dont know what the better system would look like.

i do agree that players who get disconnected or go afk need an incentive to return. because right now there is no incentive to if they end up losing connection or rage quitting they have no incentive to return making the team fight a 4v5 (which is doable if things work out).
