rito does listen. They just dont listen to bronze v typing out essay to claim x champ being broken because its not worth reading

Rito doesn't give a flying fuck about any of you. They're already filthy rich. Buy more RP while hoping that Riot Games will one day throw this community a bone and actually care about something other than your monies.

This game is going the way of WoW in terms of balance. Ghostcrawler will hang back and say "its a team effort" and all that BS but the way champs are being balanced is exactly like WoW and its ruining this game. If it wasn't for ARAM still being fun I would be gone.

I was told Runescape effectively changed how the game was played. That is a different thing to nerfing certian aspects in LoL, for example.

TheKingDodo2/5/2015, 6:49:22 PM5 votes

well... runescape is a pay2win simplistic mechoniced rpg. there's no room for plays of any kind. it's like sims but less evolutionary. the question is whether LoL will pull a SC2

YUP. Oh as well as the bots? YUP. nerds using scripts everywhere.

Sometimes, you think about quitting LoL.

Then they come with DJ Sona...

also refer to this "I know, you're not at a professional level so why be balanced like one? Well, simply put, pro-level players (Master/Challenger Tier) bring out the most of a champion. By definition they are the best in the world and the ones that define where the skill of the player stops becoming a factor and the system itself is put into question. Hence why the balance always shifts for pros much faster than others. Until you're on a pro level you as a player have room to expand as far as how well you do.

No one expects you to play at a pro level, but at the same time if a pro can abuse a certain aspect of a champion why leave that capacity for abuse in the game for you to work towards?

This does not invalidate your opinion in any way, but it can help explain the reasoning behind changes that may not make sense to you initially."

As far as I can tell Riot has been doing great lately.

Albet they should hold off on finishing a patch until they fix any champions affected, for example the DFG removal.

(No problem with it, I love the change, but they should have waited until everyone affected got compensated)

People wanted Riot to comment on their posts more, Riot said make the discussions more pleasant and easier to discuss, and well look at whats hot. Tons of Riot members commenting everywhere.

So they aren't ignoring feedback, just because what 100 people don't want happens anyway. And a lot of changes aren't unwanted, some of them no one really expected but once people get used to them they end up liking it more.

Played with my friends all day yesterday, was with Viegar twice, he still blows people out of existence with ease without the DFG.

Edit- I figure I should add the number one most asked thing for League, which is East coast servers, or a general overhaul of their network to fix ping.

And well they are actually doing it now, they are telling us whats going on, and keeping us informed, and my ping has actually gone back to the wonderful 90 (was 120) and I haven't had my ping spike in over a month now.

I am quite happy with Riot.

I've used this analogy a few times in other threads, so yes I would agree that this is happening. I'm also suspicious about ghostcrawler. I don't know if he had a hand in this bullshit, but this is the first Season with him at Riot. This season is utter shit...

Yea, the bots are taking over too...

Here's the way I look at it. The people that support Riot and don't mind or support the changes are out there playing the game right now. The people who hate the changes or can't stand them are here complaining instead of playing the game. So you can't really trust a single opinion on the boards because it probably just represents the smallest fraction of the "unhappy" side of the community. Look at the "hot" results that have maybe 10-100 upvotes. That's such a small amount of people compared to the people that are live and playing as we speak.

KING OF MASKS2/5/2015, 4:25:12 PM2 votes

The comparison is a bit off. There really is no reason for rito to make the same kind of drastic changes that Jagex made with RS, since League continues to be phenomenally successful, whereas RuneScape seems like it has been in a somewhat precarious position for a while now (re: IVP takeover, introduction of microtransactions, continued price hikes on membership, etc.).

Nah they gonna pull a WoW on us.

Arveanor2/6/2015, 5:29:50 AM1 votes

Well let's see 30 out of, to be conservative (and easy on math), 30 million people sure seem to think so. So yeah, I guess if .0003% of their players are so concerned, they had better go ahead and do everything exactly as you say, because anything else would be "ignoring you" and "giving you the middle finger", and, of course, the other 99.9997% of the population won't be upset by any of the brilliant changes you advocated for, so we will all live happily ever after, with a perfect and infallible game to play.

Hercules Morse2/6/2015, 6:28:51 AM1 votes

EVERY change is unwanted by someone. Yes, plenty of people are vocal here, but as people have no doubt replied in this very thread, that's only the ones that don't like the current changes. Even if its thousands, there's still millions of people who are fine with the change, or don't care.

There's a big difference between ignoring feed-back and simply not acting on it. From Riots presence and a fairly reasonable number of replies, given how many of them there are compared to even just the players on the boards, I don't think there's too much they ignore, but plenty they don't act on (and most of it for good reason).

I think the game is inherently flawed, fun as it is, and many mechanics and designs (both developed by Riot and some aspects inherent to the genre) are simply not workable as part of the whole. I also think the current problems are because Riot are very aware of this, and therefore are starting to make major changes as fast as they can without making it unplayable, unrecognizable, or making the pro leagues too unstable.

I also think there are are more than a few things they just don't know how to completely 'fix' yet, such as: the distinction between 'tanks' and 'bruisers' and therefore tank itemization that doesn't make bruisers OP; if tanks or bruisers are even healthy for the game in their current state (sure, being unkillable is fun for you, but not the other team); champs like Lee Sin and Zed who have strengths that are not easily numerically quantifiable and are therefore are not just difficult to numerically balance, but even define their overall roles and strengths/weaknesses; and, the purpose of and balance between the different resources, and particularly how they interact with items. None of those have simple solutions.

Overall, the game is in a period of flux and it could last quite a long time. To be honest I'm fine with that - lets see what they manage to make of it. If the game dies, I don't think it'll be because of lack of trying on Riots part. They'll just have failed to make a game that both they and we are happy with. If that happens, oh well, theres always something else to play.

I agree, Rito should have released Ahri with more buffs, she's so weak right now.
