After playing a few matches on the Rift in 6.9, I've come across Malzahar jungle every time, and short of banning him, I can't find a way to counterplay him in the jungle. He fam and duels so easily and can casually solo Drag at level 3. Any thoughts on what I should do or who to counterpick him with? 
Kill the voidling before it multiplies and he's borderline useless
Smite the Voilding before it hits you and starts spawning more.
The only way to shut down Malz is to beat him early game. PRE-6. When he hits, 6, you are dead unless you qss, but even still, you are most likely dead. I would recommend Lee Sin, Kindred Maybe (Idk since nerf this patch) and maybe Nidalee if she plays it right?
IDK if this works in the jungle but in lane Wukong destroys him.

I can't say about Malz jungle, but in lane 
are easy counters for him.
