WHY IS RIVEN SO OP!!!

I think she needs to be nerfed in a special way, like adding energy or mana....but this only CD design (same as Garen) just way too overpowered with the new runes... thx

Stop trying to fight her early, ya dork. Riven isn't that hard to beat... in fact the yolo mindless aggression of most Riven players makes them real easy to bait or manipulate into bad trades.

If you're also an early game powerhouse champ like , , , , , etc... you can probably kill her early. also does very well against her. This does NOT mean you need to go aggro like a scrub. You beat Riven by outsmarting her and punishing her stupid aggression, not by going yolo on her. Play passive... poking her when it's safe only if you can. Let her push a bit. She WILL attempt to go aggro on you at some point, because she's Riven. What you are trying to do isn't to jump her (not til you have a lead anyway) it's to turn her first attempt to come at you against her. Make her have to waste several of her dashes to even get in on you, then drop your abilities on her and LEAVE. Congrats, you won the trade. If she does it again.... repeat the same. Go for a kill if she gets low or overextends. Once you have a lead, zone the hell outta her but always respect her low level burst. You wanna keep control of her.

If you are NOT a champ who can duel her early. AKA nearly ANY OTHER TOP LANER... then play passive. Super passive. Give up CS if you have to. You do NOT want this ho to snowball. Just farm up and avoid death. Learn to manipulate the minion waves so they're not across the lane near her... freeze them as close to your tower as you can. Riven mains tend to be impatient and aggressive so she'll either dive you... or roam. PING THAT SHIT. Hopefully you're playing a champ who scales well and can eventually matter more in teamfights than an unfed Riven. If you're not then you're probably a tank and have little to fear in going super passive and just being a CC bot and distraction come late game. If you somehow can't kill her AND can't outscale her off of just farm you picked a bad champ into Riven... but it still isn't over. A riven who can't land kills is a sad Riven. Do all you can to prevent her from roam kills and she'll be more an annoyance than a 1v1 beast. Tanky tops can rush a zz'rot to push a side lane, forcing Riven or someone else on her team to constantly head off to deal with the push. If Riven isn't there, she's no threat. If someone else goes, you should be able to handle a 4v5 against an underfed Riven and her team.

The short answer is.... stop crying about champions and git gud. Riven players come in two types... mindless faceroll buttonmashers that do best against other dumbshit aggro scrubs like themselves.... and boxbox types who actually know how to play her to mechanical perfection. Given how you're reacting to losing to her, I'm guessing you're fighting the first one and losing because you're trying to fight the early game duelist in the early game... and probably in a very stupid way. You don't win against Riven by stat-checking her. You win against Riven by being SMARTER than her. Work on that.

Shes not op... The only reason she would be op to you, is if you let her farm safely, or if you decide not to harass her at all. If she turns level 6, youre damn right shes about to all in you, so be prepared.
