So, How the hell do you fight Ziggs?

I have never, ever been able to fight Ziggs. I'm tempted to buy him just to learn how to fight him but that's a ton of IP I want to save for Ivern. It seems you cannot fight him as a mage because your movespeed is that of a god damn snail. I've never had the luxury to fight him as anything else. I am assuming Yasuo can do well against him but I haven't played Yasuo in months. I just wants some tips incase I bump into the Jihadi bastard in ranked. (I am a jungle main so center it around that).

I think Ziggs is really good right now because he counters the entire meta of midlaners save LeBlanc.

You don't wanna try picking a long ranged mage into him, like Xerath or Lux, because he does the whole late-game thing better.

You don't wanna try picking a "battle mage" into him unless you're a god-tier Viktor/Malzahar with Ghost.

You wanna pick either high damage and mobility and burst him down and take him out of fights yourself Leblanc Ahri Zed (I prefer Ahri because she can at least keep up with him in waveclear till she hits 6 and Zed is bad right now).

Or you pick high CC and mobility. Especially if that champ is good at roaming. AurelionSol TwistedFate Kennen

Well, for starters, avoid your minions. Zigg's Q can bounce over targets, including champions that position themselves correctly, and is relatively easy to dodge, but Minions don't dodge. So minions explode the Q and you take damage from it.

As a Jungler, I assume you'll be looking to Gank him. Watch for him to use his minefield, then you can go in on him. He'll try to satchel charge away from you, usually by placing the Satchel Charge in front of his escape path, walking over it, then detonating it. If you can stun him on the wrong side of the Satchel Charge, it can actually hinder his escape.

Another thing you can do to make Ziggs's life miserable is get that Air Drake. Poke mages hate trying to hit a target that's zooming around at Mach 3, because it's often a lot of wasted mana. Any Air Drake you can get will make it easier to avoid his poke and collapse on him.

One thing to keep in mind is that Ziggs is generally strongest early game, when you've got to stick around for long periods of time and can't really burst him down. As the game goes later, he loses a lot of power, since he doesn't really have a burst, his dash is slow, and all of his abilities are super telegraphed.

I main Xerath , and when I face up against a Ziggs I know that I'm going to lose the early game. He'll poke me down, he'll blow up my tower first, he'll try to cut off my jungler's ganks, he'll land Q's on me while I'm charging my Q's, etc. But Mid to Late game the tides turn, and he's less happy with the situation as my Q's travel faster than his and can chunk him for half his health.

You either outrange him or outspeed him that's essentially the only way to actually kill him. Playing a mid range mage like Lissandra with fairly low mobility is exactly what he wants.

Buy boots and dodge until he runs low on mana.

Just remember that he can't spam bombs forever early game, because he will run out unless he has blue buff or untill he buys morellos.

being able to take a hit is a big part of fighting ziggs
