Summoner's Rift Ranked Queue Alternative [ADDRESSES DYNAMIC QUEUE ISSUES]

Hello, everyone.

Today, many people are frustrated on the internet, posting in reddit and other places about how Riot might cancel solo queue. I am with them, and believe that Riot should not cancel it. Therefore, I have come up with an alternative. I am pretty confident that this alternative would fix the issues caused by dynamic queue, but I am nowhere near as confident that Riot would give this idea even a second glance.

To preface: When someone queues up solo in ranked at this moment in time, they might get queued into a game with only solos. This can happen, but often it does not. That is kind-of the point of dynamic queue though. They queue up into a game, no one on their team talks to them because all of their teammates are in a discord/skype/mumble/teamspeak/etc together, and the solo player is left to fend for himself. There is almost no communication outside of the voice chat, and it makes the game more miserable, I'm sure. Also, when the game is riding on whether your teammates brought along their good friends or their bad ones (or the enemies) rather than everyone in the game's rank being VERY close together (1 - 2 tiers), it can be very frustrating.

My solution: I offer the idea of having THREE ranked queue types.

    1. Solo queue.
    1. Duo / Trio queue.
    1. Team queue. (Ranked 5's) There will be no 4 queue, as there is no way to make it less ridiculous for the single player on both teams. I highly recommend that there be a separate rank for each queue.

Solo queue will ONLY have solo players. It will be the system that Riot has been talking about recently and is planning to cancel. I think solo queue is awesome for a competitive environment, as everyone is on equal footing: there is (typically) no voice chat, everyone's ranks in the entire game are all very close together, and (usually) no one knows anyone else.

Duo / Trio queue or Semi-Team queue will have ONE DUO and ONE TRIO on both teams. This is the most balanced way to make a semi-team queue. If it is done this way, all players on both teams will have at least one person they know and some voice chat. You are probably thinking, "not that many people duo or trio queue. aren't the queue times going to be massive?" The answer is, probably; at least for higher elo, where there are less people in general. This is the biggest downfall of a semi-team queue, but i believe it would be worth it for people that want to play with their friends in ranked but don't have enough for a full team. It also would not be oppressive for any solo players because there wont be any!

Finally, Team queue, Ranked 5's. First, just bring it back. Second, I suggest two separate ranks, one for the team's rank, the same as it was before, but also a rank for the PLAYER'S Ranked 5's Rank in general. The player's ranked 5's rank is to give a serious sense of progression to those people that are part of many different teams. For anyone who has played Brawlhalla, they have a similar system on that game as well. I will leave it to Riot's digression which rank should be used for matchmaking, because (assuming the player's rank is used) if someone with a high rank is playing on a low ranked team, it will be much harder for lower ranked people on the team to contribute, whereas if the team's rank is used, every time players make new teams, they wont be playing against equally ranked players for several games after they start. Perhaps there is another solution here such as making the team's initial rank an average of all of the team's player ranks.

Riot, please, having 3 different queues can be the solution to all of the problems here. Please consider my request.

TL;DR: 3 queues: 1 queue, 2-3 queue, 5 queue. 4 is unbalance for solo players. Pros/Cons addressed above.

hm .. if i get you right .. if there were 2 trios, 1 duo and 2 solos they won't get into a game .. even if there were no other players on the queues?
