LP Gains and losses

I really feel like the system behind gaining and losing LP is really skewed and very inaccurate to the player themselves. Though i am saying this out of experience, i am not saying i deserve to be in masters division, i am just simply saying i believe i do deserve a higher placing.

Why?

I started to Plow into league late august to early july and with a few XP and IP boosts i was playing with all of my friends placed in bronze. It took me a while but i finally became level 30. Ready for ranked games I jumped into it. Needless to say i ended up playing with people who collectively and as a whole, did not play at their best. There were a few AFK's and a lot of very unskilled individuals. Being that this is a team based game and each role generally depends on another, I do see SOME maybe MINIMAL value to the process in which we are all essentially "graded."

Continuing with the story i was eventually placed into Silver IV; not to bad for me since i started league about one to two months ago. The insane amounts of AFK's and people refusing to play because someone did an action one person did not like was so overwhelming and so much of an annoyance i wanted to quit league a few times. I do understand this is a sort of "Elo Hell" But the way you gain and lose LP is a ridiculous and not a very well designed system. With the losses rolling in and the wins low and sparse- winning would grant 14 and losing would take away 17. Now it has gotten worse to a 12 gain and a 24 loss. Dropping down to silver V, I continuously see my LP stay at 0 and wonder why i play league.

I believe the ranked system does indeed need a few changes here and there and i'm sure a few others may agree with me on this topic as well.

Any comments and any input from staff would be greatly appreciated. Tell me what you think fellow summoners and for any staff please tell me what you think or what you may know about any potential changes to ranked games that we may see coming, and if not- any tips to peel off of elo hell and how the system works would do nicely.
