Balance and matchmaking in Nexus Blitz

I just played this match (alt account).

The winning team won both events very easily. Both teams were legit playing and not trolling. Noc's death was near the end.

I know this is a "for fun silly Fortnite" mode, but how is such a stomp fun for either team? If this mode doesn't get at least a little bit of dev effort on its balance and matchmaking, all the flashy effects in the world won't save it.
