If your mid locks ad, you either pick ap jungler/top or accept the full ad comp. You can't force someone to play a specific type of champion because you don't want to play ap top maybe they don't want to play ap mid? Just saying
It's not like this champ is underpowered or anything.
I mean I'm not a personal fan of it but there are champs like vlad, rumble, kennen, lissandra, teemo, ryze, etc. who go top all the time as ap and they generally win lane pretty easily. It feels scummy to lane AGAINST but there are options to lane as if your main priority is diversified damage.
Otherwise accept that a full ad comp takes objectives very fast but falls off against tanky teams and play around that.
Why does it matter?
Tryndamere kills me with a spin and two autos with zero pen or lethality. I look at my armor tooltip.

It isn't midlane's duty to be Ap; It's the teams duty. ( Play Kog, Ziggs or corky adc, play An ap top or jungler or even an Ap support) It isn't the Top's duty to bring a tank; It's the teams duty. What I want is AP Marksmen. And not hybrid weird damage like Corki but a REAL AP Marksman. So then Mid and Top can play whatever AD champion they want without compromising what type of damage is being dealt.

We had a ziggs go adc (he went ap) because we didn't have enough ap. Then our split pushing Tryndamere gets angry at us because Baron is taking a long time with Rammus, Bard and ap Ziggs. Yep.
I run magic damage adc's for this exact scenario.
Bonus points for doing it in an all AD comp where the enemy tanks don't realize it until 4th or 5th item.
