Yet more evidence that Riot doesn't understand the basics of balance or at the very least, they couldn't care less about it. Darius' cooldown used to be refreshed completely on a kill. Remember that, Riot? Remember when you had to nerf his ult to make him less "no brain required?" I sure do. It was a smart move. He needed the hit because could literally deal over five thousand true damage for no reason.

Why bring it back? Why break it more? Are you seriously that stupid? There was no reason to do this and yet you did it anyway. What exactly do you have crammed in your head because it sure isn't a brain.

This buff proves that this entire board is a joke. The only time Riot pays attention to it is to find out how best to screw with the players.

Before, when it reset at all ranks, it made his early- to mid-game presence oppressive. If you were against him in top lane, as soon as he hit 6 he would just all-in you and murder you with his Ult. And then it would reset. Which means as soon as you get back after dying, Darius was immediately a threat again, and he could just go in on you. Over. And over. And over again.

By pushing it back to his 3rd rank, it means that late game Darius still presents this kind of team wide threat - you need to put him down, or he'll pentakill your team. But it prevents him from having the kind of streamrolling effect in lane.

So here, take this napkin and dry your tears and calm your shit. There is actually a reason for this.

Darius will still be weak. The meta was so vastly different from what it is today, and Darius is an immobile bruiser in a meta filled with mobility and ranged top laners. He's a useless lane bully who can't even do that anymore, with absolutely no late game potential. Besides, the full reset was only oppressive in the laning phase, and he doesn't actually have it until level 16.
