So explain this to me....

Step 1: Vi ults neeko Step 2: Neeko ults while vi is in transit Step 3: Vi's ult makes her unstoppable, and Neeko's ult does NOT make her untargetable Step 4: Vi connects with neeko, knocking her up, but dealing zero damage (not even to neeko's ult shield) Step 5: Neeko goes through the animation of being knocked up, takes no damage Step 6: Neeko JUMPS BACK INTO THE AIR after being slammed on the ground by Vi ult, takes zero damage, and completes her ult Step 7: Vi get's stunned by Neeko's ult even though she just literally Shoryuken'd neeko and gained a massive shield Step 8: Neeko is literally full health and Vi is dead after follow-up from neeko's team.

This makes no sense to me. 1.) Why doesn't Vi's ult cancel Neeko's ult 2.) How did neeko take literally zero damage

Any other damage-dealing ultimate that works in a similar manner as Neeko's ultimate is a channel ability that can be interrupted. It is a paradigm we've been trained into over the years. If someone procs their damage-dealing ult and has to wait a few seconds before the damage-dealing ult actually happens, you can interrupt it.

And I'm fine if this is just something I need to learn and get used to -- but that doesn't solve the problem that Neeko takes literally no damage while she's in the air, even though nothing about the ult says "Untargetable"

This isn't the first time I've had this happen, and its not just on Vi, and its not just because she gets a big shield. I've seen Neekos ult into the middle of an entire 5 man team and not take one single bit of damage. Then they land, everyone gets stunned, they zhonyas, and clone out.

Most of that sequence of events is fine -- all except the "Takes zero damage while in the air even though they're not proclaimed 'untargetable'" part

Is this a bug? Is this intentional? Is the shield THAT big? (I've done some quick maffs, and its not)

What's up with this interaction? Anyone else see any general fuckery around this?
