Hey Riot, how do you prioritize buffs/nerfs to champs? (CLARITY Thread)

Hey, any chance we could get some insight on how Riot prioritizes champs that need buffs/nerfs? There are the always the obvious nerfs needed for champs with glaring strengths, but how do you determine buffing/nerfing champs that are in a perceived middle ground?

This isn't a whine thread, I was just curious as to how the process works at Riot. Why does someone like Jax get buffs on the PBE despite being in an okay place, while someone like Nautilus who's not doing so hot gets put on the backburner? Obviously you guys have a lot going on underneath the surface, and who's to say that you don't have something in the works for our buddy Nautilus, and using the PBE is probably an unfair example.

Any chance we could get some more info on the matter? I even threw the magic word in the subject title.

Well, they prioritize buffs to ADC and nerfs to everyone else

Using the PBE is an unfair example. Also, I am not sure what you are saying as far Nautilus goes with being weak. He may not be so hot in the jungle, but he has recently for me been an extremely good Top Laner. He can survive a lot of crap, even Warwick ganks and has decent sustained damage from his shield. His ultimate is also extremely effective. Overall, Nautilus fills the needs for Top Lane pretty well as a crowd control, initiating lane with pushing power.

Overall Nautilus is in a healthy place as a Top Laner, but if they want him to be a jungler, they need to up his game a bit.
