Please Do Not Rework Maokai

Maokai is a great jungler. I am not sure why anyone would like to rework his kit! He may be a little slow in the jungle to get started but his kit allows him to create the most epic ganks imaginable. I mean he can slow the target before he even gets to lane with a sappling, once slowed he can W to the target and root him in place, and then finally smash you Q key and knock the target back into the direction of your ally for them to finish the job! It's a very simple strategy after you have practiced it a few times.

And let's not forget his late game tanking power! Just build him with some tank items and a spirit visage (maybe an item 3001 for damage. Suffice it to say, unless your team is down, and I mean REALLY DOWN, the Maoks should never drop. His CC will help your carries melt in battle, and then all you have to do is sit back and wait for the victory screen.

Seriously, what's wrong with him????

He's in a situation where he is ACTUALLY too good right now..... but when the meta isn't perfectly set for him, he fades into obscurity...

the fact that the tank update is going to be shifting more tank stats into base stats and making tanks have better late games Maokai needs to be addressed or he will become a huge problem. Since he already has the best late game out of any tank a shift in power curve is going to have to target him specifically, or he won't give up any of his midgame strength for the increased early game. Adding to this is that he doesn't really match his theme that well, and the fact that he does force out other tanks since he is a generalist, and has more reliable cc and damage than all the other ones. Overall he is a champ who has some problems, and a tank update needs to deal with him no matter what, so it why not hit two birds with one stone
