Isn't league suppose to be growing?? None of my friends log onto the game anymore, and why does it take forever to queue up? Is league dying or something??

Seems to be doing fine.

Those 10 friends have quit after X years of playing because they lost interest, but instead there are 11 new players... who are not on your friend list.
