He's the ultimate noob trap for non-support players when they get stuck with the role. It's gonna be fun smashing them up Taric style.

But I agree, Leona is a 'make Pyke cry' level of counter. He builds squishy killer, and is a grasshopper champion-- Leona is THE counter for both of those champion types. I also consider her THE counterpick for all hook champions (except Darius and his black cleaver) because it's so easy to bodyblock and counterengage when their CC is down. If people start maining Pyke my LP won't complain.

Pyke is great as long as your adc knows what to do. It's like when you hit a binding on Morg; your cait will either lay a trap, or cs like a monkey.
This is how new champions get buffed as soon as they are released. you realease them people play their counters they get a 3% less than 50 winrate and adc mains cry that the champion isnt strong and it it gets insta buffed or riot buffs the champion in the next 2 months longer your auto attack range is closer you are to the buff

I tried Pyke as a support, I don't know if he's a bad support, or I'm just bad at him as a support (probably #2). I prefer Pyke as a mid laner, he struggled pre-6 like Akali, but once he gets 6 he's a power to reckon with.
I approve. Though I don't foresee the general populace doing well with him anyways once people figure out what he does.
All in all, I'm happy that we FINALLY get a non heal/shieldbot support. He has a pretty high skillcap. I mean look at 
every single game. Low skillcap, incredibly frustrating to play against.
Its almost as if its a new champion! People have always instalock new champions (as well as champions who get new/popular skins)

Pyke is garbage. I play ARAM mosty and every time I see him in game, his team loses because of how bad he is. even typically great players just get crushed. i see pyke players dash forward and die before the ghost catches up to him. i see him throw his hook, pull a tank, and get one shot for his trouble. i see him ult in to an area of effect or stun and die immediately, ussually failing the kill. worst champion in the game at present

Thanks for the tip. Just got to crush one in lane for myself that way. Doesn't seem to help the folks playing him don't seem to understand that it's a team game, and they even have a teammate in the lane they should be concerned with.
Haven't even played against Pyke since my first ranked game yesterday, he's my perma ban ever since.

Actually, I haven't played a single game where he has been insta-locked. Maybe I'm just lucky though.
