Fantasy LCS and Substitutes

With the addition to substitutes in between games it makes setting up rosters a challenge sometimes. I'm in a 6 man league so there aren't many players left that are on teams that can be considered mid-top tier. So it has come to either picking a top team with a sub (Moon from TL week 1 and Kikis from G2 week 2 for me) or picking someone who does not have a substitute from a lower tier team and hoping they can get enough points to compete with the better picks. Being able to draft the position for the team or if the fantasy LCS predictions are that X will start on a team then if they are subbed out mid game, let the second games points count toward the person who started. I don't think many people are putting in players who are not supposed to be starting in game 1 unless they are doing the best game option instead of the first two games, even then probably not in case they don't end up getting put in. I guess the other option would just to be make it the best game option for the starter but then it would favor NA teams and still restrict the players people would want to put in.

+1. Had Kikis in today, but he only played in Game 1. For Game 2 a sub "Expects" played, but the scoreline/points from "Expects" should be reflected towards Kikis for game 2.

+1. I also played Kikis today and ran into the same situation.

Substitutions isn't a new thing, but it certainly a lot more prevalent now.

Part of your drafting strategy should take into account the possibility of substitutes. Any team with multiple players for the same role is subject to subs.

I think I'm probably in the minority of people that prefers this more difficult side to drafting. I have some C9 players in my roster, but I know I taking that risk when I could be playing a player in a more secure position. That's the gamble.

Honestly this is something you just have to take into consideration when you draft your teams. I have Meteos in 2 leagues knowing full well that at any time he could be subbed out for Rush. I don't regret it and I don't have a back up Jungler in my main league. Its a risk I'm willing to take and I managed to get other good players by drafting him late since others skipped over him due to that fact.

As for being in a 6 man league and running out of "good" players I don't know what you're talking about. I'm in 2 8-man leagues and I feel like that is the point where you really exhaust all the decent players. There is truly nothing left in the pool worth taking at that point. With a full 18 more players in the pool I find it hard to believe that there is no one worth taking. They may not be on say TSM or IMT or FNC, but there are players like Betsy who scored 84 points this week and 86 last despite being on a non-top tier team, though that may be looking to change. Who thought Apex would score so many points? You just have to look at individual players and take risks.
