Low Points from quick, concise wins.

It seems really unbalanced that teams who win quickly and pretty concisely score such little points due to the variables necessary to score. For example the 08/02/15 C9 vs Coast game. The Cloud 9 players got almost no points even though they won because they did it in 30 minutes or so and only accumulated 7 kills. This is so crazy, when teams that have games last an hour, often because they make mistakes or because they can't close the game out get loads of points due to the messy kills, objectives and cs gained. Is there any way this could be worked around for the next season because I don't think 5 points for finishing in under 30 minutes on the team only is enough.

they should probably have some sort of metric in place that subtracts points for every minute after the 30 mark, that way teams that blow out their opponent get no point penalty for long games, and teams that go like 25 to 17 after 55 minutes don't get absurdly overinflated points for not just winning the game. It could also work conversely for the losing team, the longer the game goes before they lose the better, since they obviously had either a very close match or held out for an extremely long time.

I was watching the clock as C9 finished, hoping they would get under 30 min. A bit frustrating when they finished at 30:18 or whatever. Then I saw it was only 5 points and I wondered why isn't it more. How many LCS teams have closed a game in 30 min this season?

This happened to me too and it cost me the game when TIP destroyed Dig in 23 mins in the first week they need to fix this

Yeah, on a similar note I posted that CS / Gold / Kills / Deaths etc. should be normalised to per minute/hour stats. So that it's kind of apples with apples.

I know right, the 5 points should be added to players also and the team should get +10 points, so if you have Meteos, Balls and C9 then you earn +20 points for

Isn't that the point. The point of Fantasy is to try and predict how well each player does, not how they play against their opponents. I know it sounds a little counter-intuitive, but hear me out. Let's say Coast was still losing games, but they were putting up big numbers, you would probably have some members of coast on your team. Sure the team as a whole is doing bad, but the players are doing well. Fantasy isn't about making a team from the start and sticking with them until the end. It's about playing the numbers and trying to predict an outcome.

Now about short games=lower scores. That's something you have to take into account. Of course a C9 vs. Coast game isn't going to last long. C9 has better communication and positioning then them. If it was something like Dig vs. Coast, then you would probably seeing higher scores because Dig was going through a jungler crisis. That's another thing you have to worry about: player psychology and team dynamics. If a team doesn't seem to working well together or a player just doesn't seem to be playing right lately, it's time to give them the bench or drop them. I didn't want Dyrus on my team because he was hit or miss and not worth the risk. At the same time, I picked up Keith when I head he was playing because he brings a new energy to Liquid.

Love to see them Dominate and farm points before finishing. Would probably get the point across to Riot faster then anything.

Ok, so this is a tricky thing. What about a strength of schedule idea? I mean C9 vs Coast...and I might be wrong here...but to me it would be expected for C9 to dominate that. Does it show skill of the players? I mean, both are pro teams but even with C9's lack luster performance this season I put them in a different league than Coast. So let's put up SK Gaming against Gambit let's say. So a whomping of a top team against a really weak team should net more points? I am not too certain about that yet. I understand the issue, game finished in so little time no chance to get points, whereas my Fnatic team lost a match on Thursday, but they already had such good stats, and threw the game I scored 20-30 points each on that game. Would there be a mechanic to weight these match ups? Don't know if that would fix anything.

Okay so it happened again today in Dig v C9. C9 won in 25 minutes. Dig got one kill right at the end of the game. C9 played incredibly and yet Balls gets 6.8 points for only getting a few assists and kills with no deaths. People who lose get more than that on average. In fact most of elements who went 0/2 this week got more points per game than that. I feel the scores should be based on independent scorers as well as calculations of numbers. Because numbers dont make you a good player. Numbers don't calculate the much loved out rotations and summoner spell trades that are always commented on by the casters.

Ugh my fantasy points suck even when my teams win :(
