Thoughts about scoring system.
So unless it's changed since I last looked at the way points are scored, kills are worth 2 points, assists are worth 1.5 points, deaths subtract .5 points, and reaching 10 in either kills or assists get you another 2 points. With this scoring system points are skewed towards assists rather greatly, as in 1 kill for a team can garner 2 kill points for one person but up to 6 assist points (1.5 points for the other 4 teammates, 1.5 x 4 = 6.) A 1v1 kill will achieve 2 points, where a 5v1 kill will achieve 8 points, despite it being far less impressive. Meaning teams that are more teamfighting centric are more likely to acquire points than teams that focus greater on split-pushing and rotational strategies. Especially since it's much easier to get the additional 2 points through assists than it is through kills, 10+ assists are far more likely than 10+ kills. The only way I could see this being put in check would be to make assists worth 1.5 points divided amongst the participants instead. Therefore a kill that resulted from a 2v1, would be 2 kill points and 1.5 assist points respectively, but 4v1 would be 2 kill points and .5 points for each assist, thus 1.5 assist points total. Not sure how manageable this would be as far as the coding goes, but just an idea how to make the system more rounded out instead of assists being the clear front runner.
