Im a pretty new cosplayer, I've only done one before. It was Lollipoppy. You might have seen it on reddit or on Facebook.

Anyway, I'm thinking of doing a Bard cosplay and simply cannot think of any way to make the huge horn on the back of his head, with it not being super heavy.

Again, I'm new to cosplaying, so the answer is probably really obvious to some of you, but I'm a filthy casual and would very much appreciate some help/advice

Paper mache, it might be a little difficult to curve it but it would work. I have no idea what the brown things are wrapped around his horn, but I am thinking they are leather belts. This would also be a good idea since his horn has holes along the sides. You'd also have to find a way to secure it to the cosplay (I'd imagine it would need to strap onto your head). And I'd have to say it wouldn't be hard to do the paper mache around a strap at the bottom of the horn.

Another thing you could try is buying a Link (Legend of Zelda) hat, dying it the color of the horn, and then put metal wiring inside the hat to make it stiff. This may be difficult to dye since it is green, but I am sure there are white ones. Though this option may make the horn a bit smaller than it accurately should be.

Since bard is not in the game there will not be used as costplay right now. But to help with it look into Sackboy costplay from little big planet. Also to think about his costplay think santa meets Sackboy/Nine mix in a gold mask with a goat. Dont know if that helps

I'm working on my own Bard costume as well, and as I've been designing it , I have come up with some pretty good ideas for his little nub legs and his large almost balloon like body. Having plenty of experience in costume fabrication especially big non-human like characters, id say to avoid paper mache. as easy as it can be its very delicate and prone to breaking. If you want a light weight horn id go with L200 foam sheets, you can get them at harbor freight pretty cheap , its a light weight material that can be sanded, heated and shaped and painted. most prop makers and cosplayers use it for how versatile it is. i made a life size fiddlesticks puppet not to long ago out of cloth-mache and even that ended up breaking easily so ill end up remaking him with L200 as well.

Hey guys, I'm also making a bard cosplay. I was wondering if you guys have any ingenious way to make your arms and body larger because frankly I'm pretty tall and skinny.
