So we have a Medusa, Cass, and a dragon, Shyvana, I'm sure there are more but I cba to name right now.

I do indeed think that we need more creatures (mythological, legendary, grotesque, whatever) inserted into League. One interesting thing to consider! We do have to be careful how these creatures manifest in-game. Currently we have a bit of an issue with "turn tech" (this is the case with a lot of top-down RTS/MOBA genres). This makes, say, turning for quadrupeds a little awkward in the game because movement has to be instantaneous. We often have to find creative solutions to how creatures move.
So, while I certainly want to see my share of snakes, dragons, and other crazy things, we'll have to find unique ways to make them work in the game.
We need a parrot harpie, just saying. and not the sexy kind either, the nasty vicious bitchy kind from the roman mythos.

Hecarim is a centaur and Maokai is a treant/ent/etc. Anivia is a phoenix (ccryo-phoenix was a cool twist on the concept too).
The void makes for some really unique monsters and I think that's where most monsters are going to come from.
Not a bad idea, they just have to be VERY careful picking up any godly champs due to Smite. I would love to see a cyclops and Valkyrie though,
I have an idea for a centaur champion, an assassin based character that is very different from Hecarim, and any other champions that I can think of. I'm still brainstorming, but this will be the first place I post it in...

Ahri is an eastern myth (Nine-Tailed Fox).
Ao-Shin is another eastern myth (traditional Chinese dragon).
Soraka is a Satyr (Greek Goat/Human).
Alistar is a Minotaur (Greek Bull/Human).
Anivia is a Phoenix (Greek myth).
Olaf is a Viking and the embodiment of Thor (Norse God)
Hecarim is debatable (Greek Centaur, War-Horseman of the Apocalype, Headless Horseman)
Cassiopeia is Medusa and has a Siren Skin (Greek)
Amumu is a mummy (not sure where the myth comes from but based on Egyptian Mummification).
Little Knight Amumu references the myth of Excalibur

Nunu references the myth of Yeti and Bigfoot/Sasquatch
Teemo is based on Satan (arguably a myth).
Many references to famous asian generals with skins for Jarvan, Xin, Tryn, etc.
Many champions were inspired by various myths throughout history, along with several skins too.
I want Baron Nashor to be a Hydra, where as he gets lower, he grows more heads and gets more powerful. It already kind of looks like that in the "Twist of Fate" video.

renekton and nasus are based off of sobek and anubis respectively, so they've got egyptian gods! I also feel that it would be much cooler if they ran with their own lore and maybe even started a new facton. as it stands right now I can identify a few: Ionia, Demancia, Noxus, Zaun, Shadow Isles, Void, Kumungu Jungle, Piltover, Bandle City, the Freijlord, and there are still others that I have missed. I think it would be better if they didn't just pull random champions out like nasus and renekton and instead follow they crazy amazing lore they have going on already
We could need a Scarab, but that's a bit too similiar to DotA2.
