Customized Ahri splash, skin select image and icons by ex-Riot splash artist Knockwurst

I've always been a fan of Knockwurst's work since he was still a splash artist in Riot, I saw his Ahri fan art on DA and fell in love with it.

I appreciate the work Riot has put into Ahri's new splash but I think Knockwurst does a better job at capturing her character as a whor... whole.

So I shamelessly took his work and made some images out of it to swap out some in game splashes and stuff.

Thought I might as well share it here.

How to install:

Download all 3 images (Ahri_0.jpg, Ahri_Splash_0.jpg, Ahri_Square_0.png)
Replace said file under the following directory (It is recommended that you backup the original file just in case anything goes wrong.)

LeagueofLegends/Contents/lol/RADS/projects/lol_air_client/releases/0.0.0.168/deploy/bin/assets/images/champions/

The file directory might look different on PC as I'm using a Mac client.

Use the file name and search the LeagueofLegends directory if you have problem locating your image file.

Enjoy your new Ahri splash!

By replacing the files you will see the following images being changed:

Portrait & splash in the profile page
Champion select icon, skin select image and splash

Unfortunately it does not effect the in-game icons and portraits.

I would like to make one for the in-game portrait, but although I looked around pretty hard I still couldn't find a way to do it on a Mac.

It seems like changing the in-game portrait would require using tools that could generate a .dds file, which would involve using 3rd party programmes.

Update: Redditor Philippmk has done some amazing work and made the files for changing loading image, in-game icons and portrait

I like it! It gives off a "I'm sexy, you know it, and I'm going to do horrible things to you because of it." that fits Ahri perfectly.

I like it, Ahri's current splash art looks kinda evil and also makes her look really fragile.

She looks... crazy. Not the air of mystery and allure Ahri is supposed to be! Like I can't tell if she is wanting to caress her victim's face or brutally tear out their heart!

Oh so that's what needed to be done. A more simple, cartoonish and slutty look and community is satisfied. Big surprise. After all these long speeches about elegant pose and the big words, THIS is all that it takes to make people happy? Not surprising, because I knew from the start that these long critiques about the new splash art were just self-deception.

I remember making this picture about inconsistency in Ahri's looks and I wasn't far from the truth after all.

I like it but it needs some more tweeks imo. the full view of the splash makes her eyes look strange to me. but over all +1

So is there a way to make the splash art show up in a better quality?

I replaced the images and all, but the large splash is a little pixelated. I noticed the example image you gave was not pixilated.
