Champion icons for summoner icons?

Yo. So we ALL have our favorite champions correct? We play our faves a lot correct? I think it would be great if there were some form of reward to be earned by playing a champion a certain amount of times in Classic mode (only Normals. We don't wanna see people playing nothing but Garen in ranked now do we?).

Say something along these lines: I played pantheon ALOT back in the day and to date he is still my favorite champ (even though I play mostly ranged marksmen and such). HOWEVER, I've played near 70 or so of my 300 some odd games as Pantheon. Wouldn't it be nice to earn a summoner icon of our fave champ after playing say 100 games with a champion.

Stipulation: To prevent collection of fave champ icons, you should only be able to earn one of them. ALSO you shouldn't be able to purchase them with RP (gg to easy). Earning fave champ icons would give them a lot more meaning. Plus there is no such thing as 2 favorites.

I have been asking on a Riot AMA about this idea. Had thought of this idea about 5 months ago.

I agree. I think this would be a pretty cool idea. I have a question about the champs that have two forms though, like Elise, Anivia, and Nidalee for example. Would you just get the basic icon from the splash art, or could you get one of lets say Elise in spider form? I think it would be hilarious to get an Eggnivia. xD I really do like the idea though!

The idea of giving icons based on playing a champion or mode a certain number of times was thrown around before, I don't remember where though it was a while ago....

Honestly, I love the idea and the only reason I could imagine them having a reason not to do it is just not enough resources, but it wouldn't take long because you could just snip from the splash and no one would mind imho.

I don't think it's a good idea.I think it'll look cheap. And Garena have something like that.
