This ability can be reactivated a third time with 4 seconds of the second cast, causing Zelos to perform a thrust for physical damage as he returns to his original position, impaling the first enemy he comes across as he drags them with him.
[R] Black Onslaught
Zelos sheathes his blade, suppressing the enemy champion with a barrage of physical damage kicks, forcing both of them into the air. After the channel ends Zelos performs an elbow smash, launching the champion away from the Cavalier.
Black Onslaught can be reactivated to perform the elbow smash more quickly, causing the cooldown on Vorpal Edge by 1 second for each unused kick.
General Concept
Zelos is an offensive-reliant melee fighter designed for burst damage and dueling potential. He is similar to Renekon relying on his CDs for most of his damage. Zelos is best suited for being a front-line fighter that pulls priority targets straying too close into the fray as his allies supply the sustained damage necessary to keep himself healthy in team fights, as his abilities cost health.
Compared to other fighters he lacks raw defensive power as he requires damage to be dealt to enemies to rejuvenate life and fighting skillshot based champions to have properly use The Abyss Sworn, but brings a predictable and steady stream of damage through timed cooldowns.
A unique concept to the Cavalier is the ability to reflect enemy skillshots, making him a powerful deterrent to poke metas that rely on said abilities. Another bane to poke comps is being able to pluck their members if they are careless with map awareness, also he can easily rip them apart with an assassin as back up.[/QUOTE]

[R] Black Onslaught
TYPE: Click-on (Single Target)
TARGET TYPE: Enemy Champion
RANGE: 325 Units
DEBUFF TYPE: Suppression
DEBUFF DURATION: 2 Seconds
COST: No Cost
COOLDOWN: 130 / 105 / 80 Seconds
Basic Description:
(First Cast): Zelos suppresses the enemy champion for 2 seconds with a barrage of kicks, dealing (30 / 35 / 40, +0.2 Bonus AD) physical damage per kick, up to 9 kicks are performed.
(Second Cast):As both champions are falling back to the ground Zelos elbows the champion, dealing (40 / 70 / 100, +0.6 Total AD) physical damage.
This ability can be ended early to activate the elbow smash sooner, but reduces the cooldown on Vorpal Edge by 1 second for each kick unused in this manner.
Specific Details:
(First Cast / Kick Frenzy): The enemy champion is under suppression by Zelos as he drives them both into the air with a flurry of kicks each dealing (30 / 35 / 40, +0.2 Bonus AD). This is considered a channel and can be interrupted by enemy champions with displacement or skillshot stuns. The highest possible damage from this without Vorpal Edge is (270 / 315 / 360, +1.8 Bonus AD) physical damage.
Reactivate to end the channel early to begin the Elbow Smash, reducing the cooldown of Vorpal Edge by 1 second for each unused kick in this manner.
(Elbow Smash): As Zelos and the champion fall back down, the champion is no longer under suppression but is still considered airborne. Zelos will fall on the opposite side of the champion that he started the frenzy from as he elbow smashes the champion after he lands on the ground, dealing (40 / 70 / 100, +0.5 Total AD) physical damage. The highest possible damage from the complete ultimate(No Vorpal Edge added on either cast) is (315 / 385 / 460, +1.8 Bonus AD, +0.5 Total AD) physical damage.
Visual:
Zelos performs the first kick to launch both champions airborne. The remaining 8 kicks force them higher into the air with each blow. The sheer force of the onslaught pushes both champions forward. The momentum carries Zelos on the opposite side of the champion as they are falling back to the ground. After Zelos lands on the ground he spins around and elbow smashes the champion.
Zelos Lore
There is a duality to Darkness known only to those who’ve been infected by Its touch. Everyone knows the shadows: shallow, comfortable, mostly harmless places where one might nest for a night. But the depths of Living Pitch only visit the aristocracy of madmen and women who’ve unwittingly pledged fealty to the curse. For some, It outright ruins minds like a hound to fresh meat; for others, It wanes into the deepest parts of Its less caustic sibling and waits for the time to strike, returning periodically through life like an incurable Disease.
Zelos, son of the legendary warrior Lito and brother to Irelia, was one of these unfortunate souls. At the urgings of Ionia’s Elder Council, he made his way to Demacia to seek aid from the impeding Noxian Invasion. While on the high seas he was caught by an Undead Warlord marching to Valoran’s shores. He fought with every ounce of his strength, but this proved to be the ultimate blunder as the Dread Knight found another worthy warrior for the Isles. Zelos was soundly defeated and had his being corrupted into an undead monstrosity. Zelos felt the soft, feathery turnings of the Abyss, amused at his resistance, curiously understanding his nature. It knew how to bend him to Its will.
He dragged himself to Demacia, only to be greeted with swords and spears as the city was reeling from the same Shadow that annihilated Zelos. Forced to defend himself, Zelos slew innocent men that were driven by fear. He felt the satisfaction from that dark corner of his mind, probing him to perform more wicked deeds. Horrified Zelos fled to the wilds of Valoran, staying as far away as he could from humanity, a mistake.
In this state of solitude the Abyss had his complete attention, plucking and pulling at the strings of his sanity. His dreams were nursed in the dark, his actions guided and controlled in the light. He was being molded into the ideal killing machine, a mindless abomination that would prey on the humanity of anyone it saw. He would serve It well.
The Cavalier of the Abyss arrived at the Institute of War to not only claim the strongest souls, but to heed that dying ember residing in the smallest corner of his being; to find a method that would release him from this torment.
“After a while, it will all start to fade. No more pain, no more unwanted thoughts. Just Darkness. I am terrified by It.” – Zelos
