Has Riot ever considered an over 50 League?
I am over 50 years old and have become quite intrigued with LOL, even spending money on RP to help purchase champions. When I was young, the hot new game was "PONG." In an opportunity to connect with my college aged son, his group of friends convinced and encouraged me to load and learn how to play LOL. It has been a fun experience, mostly. However, there are some serious impediments for LOL to tap into this particular growing market.
- Older players simply do not have a lifetime of "gamer" experience and most new games do not come to us intuitively.
- Having not had our noses in games our entire lives we have not developed a "quick twitch," making games more frustrating as our skills develop.
- Older players are forced to endure the most immature and selfish players made up of disrespectful, immature kids that have never held down a job or provided for a family.
The establishment of an over 50 league, or something that would allow older players an opportunity to team up or play against each other and should be a very interesting "growth market" opportunity for Riot. Plus, most of us actually have money that we can spend (LOL). For me, this started as a way to connect with a college aged son. An opportunity to compete with players in my on age group would greatly enhance the LOL experience and also continue to foster and grow interest in the gaming experience.
