[Champion Concept] Hextech Engineer
Hextech Engineer (generic name)
Passive--Warmup: Hextech Engineer's basic attacks grant him a stack of warmup. At 5 stacks, the charge times of his abilities are reduced by 50%. HExtech Engineer loses stacks of warmup whenever he is out of combat for 10 seconds.
Q--Plasma Bolt(Name WIP): Hextech Engineer channels for a brief period before releasing a fast moving bolt of energy. This ability can be charged to inflict more damage. At maximum charge, Plasma Bolt will slow the first target hit and pass through enemies.
W--Flight Mode: Hextech Engineer gains an out of combat movespeed boost and can channel abilities while moving. TENTATIVE: Auto attacks will not interrupt Hextech Engineer's movement, but will apply a .5 second slow to himself. Disables passive energy regeneration.
E--Rocket Tag: Hextech Engineer channels for a brief period before letting off a barrage of homing missiles. Charging rocket tag will increase the number of missiles released. Targets hit by Rocket Tag will be marked. Plasma Bolt (Q) will attempt to home in on marked targets (but can still be avoided.) At maximuum charge, Rocket Tag has increased range and will prioritize enemy champions.
Notes: Hextech Engineer will retain standard vision of marked targets through the fog of war and in brush. Does not reveal stealthed champions.
R--Emergency Capacitor Dump: Hextech Engineer charges up and releases a massive shockwave. At maximum charge, targets close to Hextech Engineer will take up to 200% bonus damage and be knocked back. Far targets will receive as little as 75% damage and receive low knockback.
Notes: ECD will always use up all available energy at full charge. Maximum damage and charge time are dependent on energy consumed, i.e. the more energy used up, the longer the charge time, the bigger the damage.
Passive: Overcharge. Basic attacks on-hit increase Hextech Engineer's energy pool by (5, 7.5, 10) up to a cap of 200. Hextech Engineer loses overcharge energy if he dies.
Notes: Hextech Engineer is an Energy resource champion that relies on a mix up auto attacking and charging abilities. Charging abilities consumes more energy (which is the justification for his Overcharge passive). It is intended for him to scale well with attack speed and ability power, instead of ability power only. Pure AP builds would have strong casting power, but would be less effective at maintaining energy levels. Optimally, Late-game Hextech Engineer would maintain Flight Mode, and rely on restoring energy with auto attacks and his casting mobility to upkeep his dps. Without Flight Mode, Hextech Engineer has strong energy regeneration, but far less mobility.
