TSM'S TRIUMPH OVER CJ ENTUS (NA'S RETURN TO THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE)? BUT WHAT OF GE TIGERS?

I thought personally TSM were the underdogs in this matchup but honestly we start to see some of these veteran korean teams such as the latter CJ Entus, Samsung, and even SKT at some extent become much more decadent within their rotational play and actually ended up much worse than they seemed since season 3 allstars and season 4 worlds. Also we've yet to see CLG perform internationally, which i dont have much hopes for, but who knows, Season 5 worlds will be far less korean sided than our previous championships i can guarantee that. Will NA have a shot at worlds this time, or will GE tigers stomp the world in season 5?

GE tigers will stomp, hands down. Although the foreign teams (non-korean) are getting better, players and support systems, they are not on a Korean level. Therefore, I feel like Na at least, will still remain somewhat unprepared season 5.

In terms of players & teams, the main thing that makes top world teams strong is the concept of multiple threats. If we look at TSM for instance, the game basically revolves around Bjerg "mini-faker"-ing the game, doing whatever his team needs to win. Albeit the rest of TSM is good, but they just can't perform on that level of "guys, jump on my back, im carrying this game".

If you look at the world championship rosters for both SKT and SSW, they had multiple (if not all) players who were capable of this incredible almost "solo carry"-esque play, while being able to come together and synergize extremely well. I want to make note that "solo carry" is not referencing a solo queue style of play, but the ability to overcome your allies weaknesses, comparable to a spider web: adapting, supporting, and repairing.

Although I agree that the international scene is looking much more diverse, and foreigners are beginning to look like they have a chance, they cannot yet top a team as strong as GE Tigers.

(Also, keep in mind the years Korea didn't win worlds was when Starcraft 2 was in it's prime, so most of the aspiring pro gamers in Korea were playing it :P )

While I agree NA as a whole isn't up to the Korean standard yet, I do believe there are a few teams that can at least give them a close game for the time being.

As for TSM... Bjergsen isn't the only member of that team capable of carrying a game. Both Turtle and Dyrus are plenty skilled enough to do the heavy lifting if given the opportunity. With the mechanical skill on CLG, they have a decent shot on the international stage with the amount of experience in the team.

One thing you do need to consider though. A majority of these KR rosters are extremely new, and already performing extremely well, so who knows if we can keep up with their potential growth as the season advances.
