Ahq e-Sports Club's new roster has proven to be a force to be reckoned with at the Mid-Season Invitational. After struggling through the LMS regular season, ahq made the wise decision to make a few changes before the Playoffs. They moved the incredibly talented Shang-Ching "GreenTea" Sa from support to an analyst role and made jungler Chia-Wei "Albis" Kang their new support. With a free spot in the jungle, they gave the position to Taiwanese veteran Zhao-Hong "Mountain" Xue, and things have been looking good ever since. The team's shown great synergy with their new lineup, and AD carry Chun An "AN" Chou is quick to praise the changes. "Overall, the roster swap has helped the team a lot," he says. "Albis is not so skillful compared to GreenTea, but he can adapt to the team strategy more and help us to win games." Not only has Albis stepped up, but AN himself has shown impressive play recently, both in the LMS and at MSI. He credits his recent improvements to a new training method. "Recently I've been practicing on the Korean server and got into the Challenger league," he explains. "It's given me the chance to play with very strong players. So there, I've learned more and practiced more." He says that he enjoys playing on the Korean server a lot, since the players there are very competitive. "I've mostly learned strategy," he says. "And their laning skill is much better than the other regions." Bringing his new skills and teammates to MSI, ahq has taken games off of Fnatic, Beşiktaş e-Sports Club, and Team SoloMid, guaranteeing their advance through the MSI Group Stage. Team captain Shu-Wei "westdoor" Liu has played brilliantly, but AN also acknowledges his other teammates for stepping up. "Albis and Mountain have played very well at MSI," he explains. "Their communication and the speed of their support is much faster [than usual]." Ahq will face both EDward Gaming and SKTelecom T1 as they move forward in the tournament, and AN is looking forward to playing against China's finest once again. "Yesterday we played against EDG and we played well, but we had some mistakes. If we can reduce the mistakes in a Best of 5 scenario, we have a chance to win." And against SKT? "They're pretty strong, so that's another story," he says with a laugh. You can watch AN and ahq take on both teams tomorrow on Lolesports. Strongly took out the top 3 teams in Taiwan as 4th place, came in here as "underdogs" to most people, but I took them as a top tier world class team. Rito ranked them below FNC and TSM, which I strongly disagreed. Most players also ranked them as low. Watch what they did at the LMS man. MSI, stomped FNC and TSM. Westdoor drew double bans throughout the MSI (knocked out and didn't watch AHQ vs SKT yet, but they pulled the FNC as to what my friends had said). Almost managed to took a game from SKT just like FNC but fell a bit short. AHQ did fairly well vs EDG in the early to mid stages, but their mistakes led to their deteriorating game. But even after the 4 kill deficit AHQ was on, they still managed to fight amazingly (the fight in AHQ's red side), almost managed to kill more in the fight. Even though they lost, felt that AHQ did really good and has shown us they aren't a team to be looked down upon. I hope AHQ can pull off something amazing vs EDG and possibly advance, maybe. Best of luck to my favorite team, AHQ, you guys have worked hard and I'm proud that you all have gotten into the international stage
