Drafting the new LCS teams can be a tricky thing; with few stats to support how good they actually are, only the keenest drafters would even consider picking some of them up. Using their past play, along with projections and comparisons to current LCS teams we've compiled a list of the top picks in both teams along with a summary of their play styles below. With this knowledge you’ll be able to smite your opponents with your sleeper draft picks!
LMQ's Play Style
LMQ has had a dominating performance so far in the NACS, without losing a single set to any team. This is mostly due to their hyper aggressive early game strategies that no one but the best in North America knows how to handle. If any teams actually survive the early game, cracks appear in LMQ's armor as their late game is quite lackluster in comparison to how dominating their early game is. LMQ can rise up to the top four in the NA LCS due to their overwhelming aggression, but they'll hit a wall as teams become more prepared to pick apart their early game and flip the tables.
Top Picks
XiaoWeiXiao
If you are up against XiaoWeiXiao and you don't deal with his Orianna you might as well forfeit immediately. Killer mechanics, laning, and precision timing are just some of XiaoWeiXiao's strengths and he abuses opponents with them every game. He's one of the most underrated mids in North America - XiaoWeiXiao is a mid-round pick for me nearly every time. He'll slip by the less knowledgeable drafting opponents, giving you time to grab him ahead of his projected draft point. Compared with Bjergsen and Froggen, XiaoWeiXiao is projected to average about 3 points less per game, but those top picks will easily be gone in round 1, making him an incredible value pick for any team lacking a superstar in the mid lane.
Vasilii and Mor
Judging bottom lanes on their merits is one of the most difficult parts of drafting; a lot of what they do goes unseen to the untrained eye. Mor is nearly always holding Vasilii's hand and using all of his strength to push Vasilii over the threshold and into his true carry potential. As draft picks, Vasilii and Mor are just a tiny sliver below the top tier AD Carries/Supports in terms of points per week. It’s true they’re in for tougher opponents in the coming weeks, but these two will shine through as a hugely successful bottom lane that will shower you with points.
A few fans feeling bold or lucky will take a flyer on compLexity in their current state. The team relies a bit on Brokenshard to assist both Westrice and Pr0lly to win games. However, teams will know about this and ban out Brokenshard's best champions so it's hard to see where compLexity will end up in the LCS, making them the true wildcard.
Top Picks
Brokenshard
While a few brave fans will choose to pick up compLexity members, the team actually has plenty of individual talent that is viable in 8- and even 6-team leagues! Brokenshard consistently performs well, despite maybe one bad game every once in a while. However, according to our projections (31.8 pts/wk), drafting Brokenshard in the early rounds is incredibly risky. As the split develops further though and he and the team gains experience, he could be a great supplement Jungler and be worth taking in the later rounds.
pr0lly
Anyone who isn't a stranger to the LCS knows that pr0lly is undeniably a powerhouse. Packing one of the largest champion pools of any Mid laner in the LCS, he performs decently against all but the toughest opponents. However, this huge champion pool can lead to inconsistent play because he may pick an unorthodox champion that doesn't work well at all and just ends up falling on his face. If there is one breakout pro on compLexity, pr0lly is the choice to go with.
