Hai: The Retirement Interview

In a parallel universe, where Hai's lung didn't collapse... C9 could be still together and dominating.

You know, except that his lung isn't the issue right now. His wrists are. So in the parallel universe where he didn't have a collapsed lung, and his wrists were hurting him. Yes C9 could be #1.

He is right about never getting help. You never saw him get ganks or help; he was always left on his own, ala Dyrus. And, he got camped a lot for it, too. People most of the credit to the laner getting the help, when a lot of times it comes off the back of hte jungler.

Bjerg gets a crapload of help from Santorin. Hell, back when Mancloud was considered a top mid, Xmithie pretty much put a tent in mid lane. The minute they changed junglers, Mancloud was never the same. Also, Meteos primarily ganks for Balls, win or lose. So I agree a lot of Hai looking as bad as he did was the fact the game was more mid-lane centered, and he didnt get the ganks other lanes got. So, he would look worse overall.

I wonder if they will keep that same playstyle when they pick up another mid, and if that mid will be able to handle it.

Hai wasnt the best, but I do agree with him that he looked even worse due to how the team operated. I remember when people thought Sneaky was the worst player on C9, when they first came up, when he was just spamming utility ADCs and just hanging around not feeding. Now, hes considered the best ADC in NA, because their game-style changed.
