The reasoning behind it was that you might get guys simply claiming to be transgender in order to get into the female teams for what they might perceive as an easier match. It was not (as far as I am aware) aimed against genuine transgender players, but of course would affect them anyway.

I say was, because they have since backtracked on the decision. I cannot say I agree with the original idea, so am glad they changed their minds (or more likely had someone step in).

I honestly don't see what the issue here would be. Unlike in physical sports (like Boxing or Skiing or you name it) Gender shouldn't have any impact on the competitive capabilities of the players. Unless they find some scientifically grounded information about how stuff like this could actually impact the game, then it is just speculation and kind of pointless.

I think the it was secretly a gaybash they tried to pull. and the Philippines no less...didn't think I'd hear about homohate from a nation of smooth skinned ladyboys.

(no offense, but you got nice skin, a natural fucking tan burnt in from many generation in the sun and y'all smile real easily...no shit fazes ya, not even your deadly traffic)

Maybe they are worried some straight guy would be internally hurt after getting buttraped by homosexual player on the rift...or...a LESBIAN!

(joking aside, I've seen players from the LBGT community throw down in an internet cafe and the teamwork on both sides was amazing.

now that I consider it...there's not one E-sport player who's married. if so, I haven't seen it yet. (and there's players coming from countries that have arranged marriages...weird, no?)

Everything aside, if I could chose between a LGBT player over a straight player (male/female), i'd definitely go for the gay...even if they lost they'd still be FAAAAABULOUS!

and looking good doing it too.
