I'm not too much into E-Sports myself, I'm sure other players can link you to some good matches, though!

When I first started playing, I started watching a ton of Anklespankin. He's pretty informative during gameplay, will show you how to build and counter certain champions, and is decently funny while doing so. I'd recommend him if you're interesting in basic game knowledge.

Aside from that, for more advanced things, always remember that the pro players of E-Sports matches have their own channels. Some of the most popular ones are:

Bjergsen's channel — found here! TSM Doublelift's channel —found here!) and C9 Sneaky's channel — found here!

Some of their videos are essentially just stream highlights, but most of the time you can see some really high level gameplay mixed in with the occasional funny clip or two. Good luck, and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

I support Hotarm's comment. For new players, it's best to learn from the best to understand some of the concepts. Viewing streamers is a general go-to option in order to understand what it takes to play to some level of consistency. The competitive scene gives you an idea as to how the game is played when everyone is on the same page. Somewhere, learning between the two can get a bit shaky. I personally learned league through eSports (notably Worlds 2013) and was a freaking Zeal Annie user before honing to support (I don't like to be a carry...yet somehow my secondary is usually Bot).

Anyway, enough on that. With competitive League tending to change as the patch cycles come biweekly, it's not easy to really gauge good games under or close to what is the current meta to build off of (plus it's off season). If I had to think of a few recent matches or series of games that would produce a wholesome understanding of how the game is currently played, I would look back at the following:

KeSPA Cup - A Korean offseason tournament featuring teams from the LCK, Challengers Korea, and the Pro-Am Circuit. The link heads to the Eventvods subreddit

I'd put Demacia Cup but there was no official English broadcast

All-Stars' LCS vs LEC - Basically NA vs EU; another match among the longest running regional rivalry in competitive League. Pride aside, it was a pretty good showmatch

RNG vs G2 | Worlds 2018 - While not in the preseason, the entire series had a lot of food for thought. Definitely one of the more acceptable "better team on the day won" series on the year if not in recent history.
