With Spring Finals in Miami behind us and the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational underway, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be coming to NorCal to close out the Summer Split. The 2018 NA LCS Summer Finals will be at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA on September 8-9, with the 3rd place match on Saturday before we crown the Summer Split champion on Sunday.

While we’ve gone to basketball arenas before, we look forward to being in the current home of the Golden State Warriors, the parent organization of one of our own NA LCS franchised teams, the Golden Guardians. We’re proud to be adding our own piece of history to the rich legacy of Oracle Arena.

Ever since the days of the Solomid Series, “Baylife,” IEM Oakland, and IPL Faceoff, the Bay Area has been a hotbed for esports. When we went to San Francisco for the Group Stage of Worlds 2016 at the Bill Graham Auditorium, we were inspired by the passion and energy of the crowd. We’re delighted to bring Summer Finals to the home of the largest League player base of any metropolitan area in North America.

As we described earlier this year in our philosophy around selecting venues, we want to make sure that the host city can support the inbound audience, media, and teams. While some of our previous locations for events may have been travel-friendly, it’s hard to imagine a more welcoming location than the San Francisco/Oakland metro area– it’s a hub for most travel from Asia to the US for international fans, and has nearly 4,000 nonstop flights per week for fans flying in from anywhere across North America.

Finals tickets will be available after Rift Rivals on July 9. We’ll share more information about ticketing including prices, on-sale date and time, and more on Friday, June 29 on Lolesports. In the meantime, you can read up on Summer Split details, buy regular season tickets, and check out the regular season match schedule.

Imagine the worlds championship in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. with the largest tv monitor anywhere and 110k seats xD would be so epic. but i am so glad that we are at least going to a stadium that seats 20k. Much better than that pathetic finals in Miami that had 2k people there.

yet again, Texas gets absolutely shafted. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! We have so many great venues! But apparently Riot only thinks that the East and West Coasts have League of Legends players.

Hey Riot, just a little, hint hint nudge nudge, right over here in St Louis we have a multitude of nice venues for an NA Finals including the Chaifetz arena, Scottrade Center, or even the recently-vacated Edward Jones Dome. Im also sure that the rioters in the St Louis office would love a finals in our wonderful city. Pretty much what im saying is pls come to the midwest rito [sg-janna]

Oakland gets 20,000 seats but Miami gets 2,000. Nice, still salty I couldn't go to Spring Finals.

What I really want to see is the World finals at the AT&T Stadium where it'll be expensive yes but it'll prove how much esports has grown and will definitely be a sight to see.

Glad that Riot actually decided to spend a little money this time around for Finals. Chopper needs to be "relieved" of his duties.

Please, for the love of poros, do not use the awful system for the Miami finals for this event. I did everything correctly and was still not able to get tickets, it was a terrible experience

Hey guys and gals - as someone who stayed in Oakland for 2 weeks recently I need to tell yall that while the city is safe during the day. Do not hang around places by yourself, follow the crowds at the Oracle Arena, and do NOT stay/hang around outside the oracle arena after the game. Stick with the crowd. Do not go on your smart phone on the BART (the train system there). You may find yourself short of a phone by doing so...other than that enjoy

I'm very excited that Riot is bringing the Finals to Oakland, only a 35 minute drive from where I live. Went to Worlds in 2016, now going to the Finals in 2018. But, what I really can't wait is for everyone's questions to finally be answered. When will Riot Games bring the World Championships to Texas??? QuarterFinals in AT&T Center (San Antonio), Toyota Center for the SemiFinals (Houston Rockets), then the FINALS at AT&T Stadium in Arlington (Dallas Cowboys). Who agrees with me?!?
