this time even i made a few jokes about na, which i usually never do and all the eu teams trashtalked na which they also never do. i believe that karma is a bitch.

not to mention i dont trust in g2 or fnc. uol might be our best bet.

tsm... well its the eu fnc. dont trust in them either. p1 i barely watched them so are they good? i think cloud 9 might take it.

thoughts?

It doesn't matter, both regions are trash.

I feel like Fnatic or UoL will be the two teams kind seeing who will win Rift Rivals. TSM looks great but they arent as on the ball as Fnatic or UoL. Itll be nice to see Bjergsen vs guys like Exileh, Perkz and Caps but this is just a battle between Fnatic and UoL to see who will beat TSM.

I'd be surprised if EU took a game off NA

Don't count G2 out. G2 actually had a good showing at their last international performance, which was a shock because their international performance was a meme: vacation anyone?

So while you can't count on G2 to be consistent, there is a chance they show up and play well.

FNC, TSM, and C9 look really strong

G2 at best is mediocre right now.

P1 will do horrible.

Im not sure about UOL. They are a bit of a wildcard.

As someone who legitimately doesn't care about the NA v EU one, I'm going to take a wild guess and say we have a p1 vs fnatic finals with EU taking it despite NA 5-banning rekkles.

More excited to see the korea/china/lms one, as not only can I potentially see the razz/smithy duo (probably one of the better casting duos we can see this year), but it'll also mark the first time since his self-imposed chinese exile that we get to see pulse cast an international competition. Lots of things to watch there, not so much for the NA/EU one.

EU takes it hands down. Sure c9 or tsm can beat g2, fnatic or uol, but no chance either or both of them can take down all 3. As much as I hate to say it (uol is the only eu team i really care for), na is probably going to get schrecked.

LMFAO, aside from PerkZ and partially mithy no EU team trashtalked NA, they were either forced by casters that had to push Rift Rivals rivalry to do an half-assed response or they put it out as clear jokes.

Overall I have seen mostly fanboys (and casters, but they are paid to do it so) from the two regions trashtalking rather than pro/orgs, and generally there has been less trash talk then usual because people from both sides think NA has low chances (most trashtalk Is "what if" scenario if EU loses)

tsm... well its the eu fnc. dont trust in them either.

TSM would dream to be FNC result-wise

TSM - I mean it's TSM, not to mention each time TSM faces UOL they tend to get destroyed. Barely beat G2 at MSI but lost to them later on, could have easily been 2-0 for G2 against TSM. Placing Team Solomid at 3-3 will probably be the more realistic outcome.

P1 - The thing about the NA teams that people have 0 faith in tend to actually do better than either expected or better than the higher teams in that specific region. We've seen in from NA now for like 2-3 years where the #2 seed does better than the #1 and same thing #3 > #1. They might not win RR but I doubt they will go 0-6 in the group stage. P1 still has Ryu/Arrow + Mike and Xpecial that have been better than the parts that they replaced. Placing Phoenix One at 2-4 will most likely be the safest bet.

C9 - Pretty much the saviors for NA as far as fans goes, I don't know the C9 problem with Impact but they need to do something about it fast. C9 and FNC seems to be a Rivalry for some time now this marks like there 4th or so encounter against each other and it's FNC that seems to get the best of C9. Sneaky vs Rekkles seems to be the more "exciting" match up in which I think Sneaky is 3-1 against Rekkles(when he was on FNC and Alliance) however the overall record of FNC vs C9 follows
2013 Worlds QT FNC def C9 2-1 Battle of the Atlantic C9 def FNC 2-0 2015 Worlds Groups C9 vs FNC - Tie 1-1

History tends to repeat itself so here are my predictions .............................................................................................

P1 will do better than what people expect. TSM will get dunked because International tournaments tend to bring out the worst from TSM. C9 will most likely be the saviors for NA like always.
G2 pretty much the EU TSM will probably do meh. UOL will be exciting to watch but winning the whole thing just isn't in UOL's nature. FNC seems to do really well on the International stage and either wins it or gets close to do so. Team Solomid 4-2
Cloud 9 4-2 Phoenix One 2-4 Fnatic 5-1 Unicorns of Love 2-4 G2 Esports 1-5

Honestly the closer it arrives, the more I begin to not care about how the event turns out. My expectations are for Europe to take it through FNC for the Western RR. I actually had Team China taking it for the Eastern RR but even that's in limbo following this morning's LPL broadcast.

But back to this one, everyone has their opinions on what's good and what isn't. I'm not one for history more than I am on form. And for me, I have more hesitant judgments on every team at the event barring FNC and UOL on the least extent of those judgments.
