Vladimir: TSM vs UOL

So after seeing stuff like this matchup in pro play, can we safely say vlad is a bit too strong? I mean the only other mage with comparable healing is mordekaiser - and his isn't nearly as spammable or point-n-click guaranteed to damage opponents. He doesn't have the safety of vlad either - with a generous cd on pool. He doesn't have the safety of being ranged. Vlad is just super safe, a resourceless champion, and doesn't sacrifice any damage to do it.

On one end to answer your question: Probably

On the other end, pretty uncommon pick in the season so far. And even when it was the days of Vlad vs Syndra day in and day out, the same complaints arose. There's giving credit where it's due because I've been waiting for someone to at least blow out either Sol or Vlad into her. But then there's the generalization you made in your discussion which has existed for quite a while and even fell out of pro meta for how exposed it can become given the team and composition.

The only reasaon Vlad won that game was because TSM did not positiopn correctly at the baron pit. Vlad had a free walk right to doublelife and bjerg.

TSM played so fuckin well this week, but that one mistake cost them that game.

Vlad may deal more damage than he should for how safe he is and how "free" his abilities are, but in the TSM game, it was mainly TSM's shitty positioning and the chained CC with Gnar's ult which cost them.

When I saw them try and baron, I knew right away that Vlad would just nuke them all since they would be clustered together in a tight area and had minimal disengage. And he did just that. Vlad also was a really good pick into their comp because his pool more or less counters all of TSM's champions. He could negate/dodge Kled's, Gragas', Syndra's and Ashe's ults whenever needed.
