Knew TSM would do well but didn't expect them to dominate the NA team. Good on them and Reignover, but mainly Biofrost. Obviously the Rookie of the Year. Not only does Bio deserve the award he EARNED it. Came into Esports royalty and hit the ground running. Good on him most of all.

Really Meteos? Voting for Froggen and Fabby on the 1st team..? Piglet on 2nd team..??

Now we know where his hair went... he rolled it up in a joint and smoked it all.

For the most part I can get behind these. However I feel 1.) Huni is super overrated this split. He had the highest share of team deaths of ANY position. The 2nd most deaths in the league at any position. Couple this with the fact that IMT played fewer games than most teams, and faster games than most teams, and he had BY FAR the highest deaths per minute of any player in the LCS. His KDA was well below both Hauntzer, and Impact as a result. Sure his CSD@10 was just below Hauntzer, and well above Impact, and had one of the highest Damage contributions at any position, but having more deaths than players on the worst teams (that play longer games on average) while being on the 2nd best and 2nd fastest team in the league is not something that should be overlooked. It felt like every time I was watching an IMT game he was getting caught, or fighting when he shouldn't have been. At best he should be 3rd team. 2.) Meteos doesn't make any all LCS team? WTF? The highest KDA out of the Jungle, by a lot (6.7 to the next highest of 5.5 for Reignover), 2nd highest FB% behind Svenskeren, 3rd highest CSD@10 behind Reginover and Shrimp. Applies the pressure early, without losing out on farm, and then doesn't get caught out. What more can you ask from a Jungler?

Now we just need to see NA transition their first best of split knowledge into some form of preparation for worlds. I honestly don't mind who does it as long as at least one North American team can pose a real threat this worlds. Let's do it boys.

Sven gets the Pobelter treatment. XD

I find it funny that the coach of IMT voted for all the members of IMT to go on the first team, and same with TSM and pretty much NV.

QuartzGolem8/15/2016, 3:56:42 AM3 votes

What the hell is this? This whole thing is a complete troll. Riot, you gave votes to people who don't even know what their voting for. First off, color casters don't deserve votes, play by play casters do deserve votes because of their game knowledge. Players don't deserve votes because of their bias towards their friends and their rivalry towards other players. Some of these coaches, like Hermit, Shaunz, Yamato, voted either completely troll, or voted for their own players. How did a 7th place team(vitality) have all of the best EU players according to shaunz. To make this all worse, the people with the most reasonable votes were the media representatives" votes. They understood that players on teams besides the first and second best actually deserve first team votes based on how well they played. Just look at Sjokz votes, does she even watch the games she that she hosts the post game analysis desk for? In the end, players and coaches don't deserve votes because of bias and a level of immaturity I did not expect from some of these coaches. Nor should color casters due to the fact that they are on the desk to add a sort of comedic relief/personality to contrast the game facts and knowledge being said by the play-by-play caster. The only people that actually deserved a vote was the media reps(they did a fantastic job), the play by play casters, and a few coaches who could get past petty bias and immaturity and vote reasonably. Everyone else should be banned from voting in future awards due to lack of respect. To top it all off, the only one that deserves 100% of the blame for this mockery of esports in general, is Riot games. Riot picked the voters and whomever they choose, they are accountable for.

I dont understand how aphromoo doesnt get first team honestly. He has proven to be the best support in NA or even in all of the west. But somehow a rookie walks on to a very good team already and gets the spot. Im not bashing on bio hes good but its obvious aphro is the best support and should be recognized for it.

Solerian8/18/2016, 12:39:46 AM3 votes

Yamato was quite deserving of the Coach award in EU, but Parth? Felt more like Reapered should have won it, even as a TSM fan.

I get Burgerson vote but the rest of TSM. fkin HAUNZER?

TrollFan018/27/2016, 8:21:27 PM1 votes

And thus TSM's dominate of the awards comes to an end lol.

Glørÿ8/11/2016, 2:42:07 AM1 votes

H2K only voted for themselves while everybody else voted legitly haha @ odo and prolly

Smart Kitty8/11/2016, 5:06:36 AM1 votes

My guesses for Na were pretty good, I guessed the first and 2nd team right, my third one was kinda far off though. My guesses for EU probably weren't the best, since I didn't get to watch EU as much this season.

Anyways, it's nice to see Night get recognized as top mid, and Vizicsacsi to get noticed as 2nd top, since their teams had some struggles along the way.

I guess my 2nd team prediction was wrong Predictions: 1st team: Hauntzer Reignover Bjergsen Doublelift Biofrost 2nd team: Huni Svenskeren Jensen Wildturtle Adrian

AllThatChaz8/17/2016, 7:14:22 PM1 votes

Somebody told the third party media people to tank Aphromoo. Seriously, look at how everyone who is actually involved with the game clearly voted him in first team. I love Biofrost, and he definitely had moments of greatness during the split, but he isn't as good as Aphromoo. Idk maybe there's just an absurd amount of racism in third party media and it isn't ridiculously petty corruption. Both options are hilariously stupid.

freebuck8/22/2016, 10:53:44 PM1 votes

Can anyone explain why dardoch > meteos? I think meteos is definitely top 3

Eleshakai8/25/2016, 5:48:40 PM1 votes

It saddens me a little to see Biofrost as rookie of the split. I think his success is a result of his team's success as much as it is his own. I don't think he was a transformative influence, and while I do consider him a good player... I don't think he'd be showing nearly as well on a team that wasn't, in every other role, outperforming the rest of the league by a significant margin.

I think a lot of people didn't really put much thought into who they gave their votes to, honestly.
