Week 6
Alex: Is it worth keeping Rekkles?
Jayway: Don't drop him just yet. Leave Rekkles on the bench if you can afford to. Last week, a similar question regarding Piglet was asked and we told you to drop him completely. Looking at individual weeks, Rekkles has broken into the top eight ADC's just once this split (albeit 71.52 pts in Week 2!), but he's in a slightly different scenario than Piglet. First off, his starting position isn't in question whereas Piglet has had competition from Keith for TL’s starting slot. Secondly, he'll be paired with Krepo in the upcoming matches, a Support who may change the dynamic of the bot lane and revitalize a slumping Elements team. Monitor Rekkles' performance moving forward before dropping the No. 1 scorer from summer 2014 off your roster.
Mauro: Regarding supports: Edward, Bunny FuFuu, or nRated?
JW: Bunny FuFuu. Gravity's support dominated in his last games against Coast (Week 2, 29.81 pts) and TL (Week 4, 25.31 pts), who are his opponents this week (both teams also give up at least 15 pts/game to supports). And while Edward has been racking up tons of points in recent times, his matchup against Freeze and company (Copenhagen Wolves is 5-1 in their past six games including a win over Gambit) should be a pause for concern. Despite being consistent, nRated has been outscored by Bunny over the past 2 weeks and will have his work cut out against EL and UoL, a pair of teams looking to bounce back after going winless in Week 5.
James: Hjarnan or Cop as my flex?
JW: Tough question, but go with Cop. Their schedules are nearly identical; their opponents surrender roughly the same amount of points to ADCs, so we have to look elsewhere to break the tie. Cop (22.7 pts/game) generally outscores Hjarnan (19.1 pts/game) and had some of his best games against CST and TL. If we ignore Cop's worst week (where he managed 25.6 pts despite GV going 0-2), the next lowest amount he's scored is 40.68 points!
Prisen: Very important question: Froggen or PowerofEvil?
JW: Froggen. If there's one thing that remains constant in Elements' struggle, it's that Froggen will score a ton of points. In four of the five weeks that have been played, Froggen outscored PowerOfEvil by seven points per game. That difference is massive and you should expect the trend to continue. Interestingly enough, Elements plays against MYM and SK in the same week again (see Week 3 where he totaled 57.08 points). His last scoreline against MYM? 6/0/16.
William: Hauntzer vs Youngbuck top?
JW: Youngbuck. It appears Gravity is the theme of this week, but we're going with the Wolves' top laner this time around. Both players will most likely pile on the points this week as Youngbuck gets the two teams he's dominated (besides Unicorns of Love) as does Hauntzer (vs. CST/TL). The key separation here is that when Youngbuck scores a bunch of points, it comes in huge waves (63.64 pts in Week 2, 48.46 pts in Week 5). Hauntzer broke the 40-point mark once (Week 4), but has yet to surpass it otherwise. Lastly, CW's playstyle favors bloodbaths and this week's schedule could certainly deliver (161.31 total player points against FNC, 170.12 against GMB).
