NA LCS Korean Imports

I want to know what other people's thoughts are on the Korean imports that have come over to NA. Who do you think will perform the best/worst? How much of an impact do you think that player will have on the team as a whole?

The Korean imports that are coming to NA "with Riot's approval" are, Bang, who is leaving SK Telecom to join 100 Thieves. Crown, who is leaving Gen. G to join Optic Gaming. CoreJJ, who is also leaving Gen. G but joining Team Liquid.

Even though I am not a fan of Team Liquid, I do believe that CoreJJ is going to be the best performer. I think that he will have the largest impact out of the other Korean imports. Since he will be along the likes of Doublelift in the bot lane. Unfortunately I think that Team Liquid will more then likely be near unstoppable. But good news is, if they are not as unstoppable as they should be I do not believe they are going to be that good. There is no in between where they have a decent year. It is either they have what 2016 TSM and 2016 Immortals were dreaming of the 18-0 split, or they go 5-13 and only pull the wins off of an under-performing TSM at the beginning of the split.

I am really not sure how I feel about Crown on Optic Gaming. He will be joining new jungler Meteos along with returning Optic top laner, Dhokla, ADC, Arrow, and Support, Big. I think this roster can perform well, but I said that about last years Optic too so. Maybe all they need is a Korean holding down one of the 5 positions on the map?

As for Bang I expect him to play very well, alongside Aphromoo. I would place Aphromoo as the second best Support behind CoreJJ(as long as CoreJJ performs up to my expectations). I think with new mid-laner Huhi and returning top laner Ssumday, 100 Thieves are going to be THE team that forces Team Liquid to have to fight for the trophy, and not just get it handed to them.

Let me know what you think! Also let me know what you think about any of the roster shuffles!

You look at Team Liquid from last year and while they did win the LCS in both the Spring and Summer split, while having such core players that have played together before(Pobelter, Xmithie, D-Lift0 and a rock at the top lane(Impact) they weren't that impressive in the gauntlet that was the regular season with multiple tie-breakers, etc. You subtract but at the same time add such great players such as Jensen to replace Pobelter and the confusing and often at times, confused Olleh for CoreJJ it's going to be a tough battle for TL to repeat in my opinion.
Super teams aren't always going to win just because they have the better roster(on paper).

A bit early on my total thoughts but we've seen CoreJJ play in NA before and while his talent was all that great matched up with the 'feed lord' himself Kiwikid he looked out of place. Just another support that D-Lift will make play solely around him and to tarnish his rep when they fail on the International stage only to be thrown away like trash. AKA it's not the supports fault D-Lift.. it's you.

I don't think it's going to be an 18-0 or "unstoppable" season for TL when considering every NA LCS team looks to much more "even" with GG picking up Hauntzer, potential return of Froggen on Echo Fox with a more than respected duo in Apollo and Haukuho and Dardoch to boot. CLG finally having a lane dominate carry with PowerofEvil(tho, he's a bit more passive than previous years). Optic having one of the best carry and misunderstood team player/ help teammates Meteos matched with Crown. 100 Thieves having a monster lineup and finally, TSM looks to be a team that might actually become the new Echo Fox from last year in being a fully aggressive all or nothing, do or die teamfighting, kill, kill, kill team.

It's easy to say CoreJJ will most likely be the better "korean" fit when TL did win the NA LCS title twice but I think the Jungle/MID duo synergy could be Optics Meteos and Crown.

Overall, I'm very excited for the LCS again! EU doesn't look to be boring(to me) anymore and the NA lcs once again looks to be stacked again and again, each year becoming(On Paper only/ doesn't result in International success/ Barring C9 only) competitive, each year rising to new heights.
