In a familiar mirror to the end results of the last split, TPA and AHQ once again top Groups A and B. But even with flawless records, the top is in no way a comfortable position. Every sight is set upon them now, and the points difference between them and the second and third-place teams isn't so large that either team can take it easy. TPA, in particular, has a grueling gauntlet to overcome. After coming out a little bruised from their prior week's engagement against the Bangkok Titans, they will need to sharpen up to keep their crown.

DAY ONE

Group A
  • Taipei Assassins vs Saigon Jokers
  • Insidious Gaming Legends vs Imperium Pro Team
Group B
  • Insidious Gaming Rebirth vs Wargods
  • AHQ vs Saigon Fantastic Five
Despite a 4-0 record, the Taipei Assassins are looking decidedly mortal this split. Their victory against the Bangkok Titans last week came at a cost. Though their objective-focused play eventually had them knocking on the enemy Nexus, Lloyd had torn through their ranks with surprising ferocity, leaving them bleeding across the map. In fact, so far, TPA has had very few "easy" games – and if there's one thing that's certain, it's that the their matchup against the Saigon Jokers this week will not be easy. This will be the Vietnamese powerhouse's biggest chance to claim top honors in Group A, and especially to put distance between themselves and AHQ Fighter. Their situation's almost mirrored by the Saigon Fantastic Five, who is also up against AHQ for Rank 1 in Group B. Though SF5's mercurial play leaves some doubt as to whether they can handle an increasingly scary AHQ, at least they don't need to worry about losing their spot any time soon, as Machi e-Sports' self-destruction last week leaves them with few challengers for #2.

DAY TWO

Group A
  • Taipei Assassins vs AHQ Fighter
Group B
  • Neolution Full Louis vs Machi e-Sports
  • AHQ vs Machi e-Sports
  • Wargods vs Saigon Fantastic Five
The gauntlet hasn't ended yet for the Taipei Assassins, as the other second place Group A team steps into the ring. AHQ Fighter has already suffered defeat once at TPA's hands, but rookie team's been learning quickly in the intervening weeks, taking a win over the Saigon Jokers along the way. This isn't just their biggest opportunity to come out on top against the veteran kings of the GPL circuit, it’s their last chance, at least before the playoffs. While the Saigon Jokers still get one last shot in Week 5, the Fighters need to prove here and now that they're good enough to stand toe to toe against the champions.

DAY THREE

Group A
  • Bangkok Titans vs AHQ Fighter
  • Insidious Gaming Legends vs Bangkok Titans
  • Imperium Pro Team vs Saigon Jokers
Group B
  • Wargods vs Neolution Full Louis
  • Insidious Gaming Rebirth vs Neolution Full Louis
The Neolution Full Louis squad has had a tough few months. Intermittent connectivity issues have plagued them through three splits, and despite an impressive winter debut, they’ve had a litany of failures as the GPL's heated up with every passing week. Once again, they have a lot of catching up to do. While the Saigon Jokers and Fantastic Five are nipping at the heels of the Taiwanese teams, Full Louis is down near the bottom of Group B's standings, just barely above rookies Insidious Gaming Rebirth. They will have their biggest chance against Wargods. However, their opponents will also be out for blood, as they’ll be looking to establish themselves as well. Wargods' victory over Machi e-Sports last week was tainted by the latter organization's massive last-minute substitutions, but if they can take one over Full Louis, it'll be a much more substantial indicator of their actual capabilities. GPL English broadcasts begin Wednesday, June 25, at 3 AM PDT (12 PM CET).
