This week has brought a plague worse than Eagles fans. The premier of the live cgi Lion King, why, and Cats has given way for a sleeping giant to awake. Furries. Prepare the bunkers everyone!!!

In this escape shelter, we have LCS action to keep us entertained.

May we also congratulate the return of Jatt. We missed you …. you analytical genius. Personally, I was kinda getting bored of Azezal.

C9 vs 100T This week on The Heist, the thieves are a game short of the playoffs. Unfortunately, while trying to sneak into the vaults, a brick wall has been rebuilt from its 2-week slumber. No, it’s not Impact, its name is Licorice. He gives FakeGod a slow painful death by shuriken as they were stuck on an island for the early game. Instead, the thieves spent most of their time bot trying to get Bang ahead. All it did was feed Nisqy’s Irelia. This game wasn’t a MOBA for him it was a hack-n-slash beat-em-up. A teamfight win in the mid by C9 enabled them to demolish not one but two towers by 16 minutes. FakeGod had enough of the stituation and tried to all in Licorice. You were so close to dunking him, but, nope! He just stop watches while Sneaky cleaned up the mess, impeccable! It seemed like there was another spark of hope when it appeared that Nisqy would get caught out. He just hearded the thieves like sheep to the slaughter house that was the rest of his team. They used this win to secure baron. During a routine baron push C9 was able to bait out FakeGod’s ult, no harm no foul. The thieves tried to pull the trigger shortly after. Sneaky and Zeyzal were so close to dying. That world ender would have come in real handy right now. C9 use this teamfight win to get the mid inhib and go shopping for a dragon and a baron. They then proceed to arrest the thieves and crush their aspirations.

TSM vs GGS The Guardians have a rough schedule ahead of them and need every win they can get. TSM give them an ultimatum, win before Azir scales. The Guardians focused on getting FBI ahead in bot while TSM did the opposite and went top early. The Guardians get the early lead and repeatedly divde bot. Contractz then saw Akaadian low and tried to go for the hero play. This stiffles the pace of the guardians macro game. They went for the ballsy call of rushing baron and it worked as they even won the turn around teamfight afterwards. Unfortunatley, the guardians didn’t do much. Even still you got this in the bag GGS. You have a decent scaling comp, 3 infernals, and the splitpusher can be held at bay. Smoothie then steals the baron thanks to the wonders of spellbook. Really? Now’s the time you go full Dignitoss? TSM then took over the game with a far more efficient baron buff. This left the game on a knife’s edge with a baron luring the teams into an epic confrontation. BrokenBlade’s gutsyness reached new levels as he went for the backdoor. Akaadian wanted to take the spotlight back from Smoothie as he stole the baron sealing the Guardians’ fate as Camile got to slice open the nexus like a delicious omlet.

FLY vs CLG CLG you’re so close to breaking your streak of 7-11 mediocrity. You just have to beat a Flyquest team hanging on by a thread. The first step is to get 2 Ocean Dragons in the early game thanks to having the pushing advantage early. Flyquest then successfully ganked top shortly after, remember they’re not going to roll over and die given their current situation. Ruin TP’ed bot to help secure bot lane tower and enable BioFrost to lazer down Wildturtle. Santorin salvaged the situation by getting a counterkill onto Ruin. This one of those scrappy macro games where kills were scarce but valuable. The lure of an infernal attracted both teams like moths to flame. Flyquest got the drake and blew up Wiggily while they were at it. The rest of the midgame was CLG dominated. Then, by 30 minutes, what started as a pick on Wildturtle turned into a midlane push that 2013 SKT would be proud of. Instead of settling for the inhib they went straight for the kill and striked with lethal precision. Conglaturation CLG, you are no longer trapped in mediocrity.

TL vs CG Clutch Gaming are hungry for a playoff spot, it’s just that they have to get through the best team in the league right now. No problem. But, it’s Liquid meaning that narratives like these mean nothing to them. Their fixation on ad assassins still lingers as Damonte picked Zed. Impact being the brick wall he is absorbed a lot of pressure allowing his team to get first brick bot. Clutch was being very aggressive early win mini skirmishes. Liquid however, was out to win the war. They even picked off Xmithie, and do nothing with the map advantage afterward nvm. Liquid then capitalized off of a skirmish to set up shop and siege. Huni then got desperate and laid out a decent equalizer. Against Liquid though, a decent equalizer is a bad equalizer and Liquid proceeded to ace CG and win.

OPT vs FOX Optic Gaming are desperate to gain back traction as they were exposed after they got a more difficult schedule. luckily they’re facing Echo Fox who, while not a free win, are a dumpster fire right now. By level 1, this team was ran off the map and it snowballed out of control. Today on Planet Rift, as you can see the wild FOX was ganked relentlessly. Optic was always a step ahead of its prey, deploying support roams and Ezreal ults to counter the creature’s every response. Meteos looked like he was on turbo mode as he ganked very often while staying ahead in farm. At 22 minutes Optic eviscerated the baron thanks to the infernal and mountain the League Gods gifted them. They then did to FOX what they did to baron and aced them. A nexus was the cherry on top for a meal of roasted Fox. They will use its fur as shade to the pounding sun.

Day 2

TL vs GGS Froggen decided to be ballsy and go for Talon. Jensen responds appropriately with another assassin in LeBlanc. It was looking to be a competitive match until Liquid picked on FBI to bully. He shat the bed all game long on a build that needs to be ahead to work. Liquid spread this lead to the rest of the map and constantly picked off anyone in sight. While Hauntzer and Froggen were getting in the way, like most obstacles Liquid effortlessly maneuvered around them. This was a one sided affair in which the better bot lane won. This win also helps Liquid be playoff bound.

CLG vs C9 C9 is trying to chase Liquid for the #1 berth but have a surging CLG to deal with. The early game was back and forth with ganks being traded. Licorice chose Malphite and even solo killed Ruin’s Jayce. Then at 12 minutes, disaster happened bot lane when C9 overextended and got wiped in a 0-4 teamfight. CLG converted the win into a snowball and turned the Rift into their playground. Sneaky was constantly caught out and BioFrost’s Talm Kench was invaluable for the map mobility he provided. Stixxay was blessed with 2 ocean drakes and was a heal bot that was also a moving turret. Unlike TSM, CLG finished the job as their gold lead combined with a baron buff was too much. Also Nisqy, pls pick a champion who can push early.

OPT vs TSM This game is an important test to the Green Wall’s sturdiness as they face a team with finals aspirations. Arrow and Big started off hot with a lane kill on Zven. TSM tried to quell the snowball by camping bot which Optic used as an invitation to make bot lane a fiesta. Optic used Shelly in the mid lane as a distraction so they could get the coveted infernal. After Optic took mid turret, Meteos dove on Zven with any regard for the spellshield. It looked like Zven was about to get away when Dhokla slammed him and took Akaadian to the jam. From there on it was the Dhokla show as his team took baron off of his double kill. Riot, with how dominant Dhokla was please give Aatrox a Dunkmaster skin, Illaoi or Vi could also work. He dove into fights without a care in the world. ADCS be damned. He probably had Flower Duet playing in his head during teamfights with how effortlessly and gracefully brutal he was carving up TSM. BrokenBlade and Akaadian tried a desperation engage onto Arrow and then forgot Aatrox existed and lost. May the Green Wall stand strong.

CG vs FOX Echo Fox is desperate to salvage this sinking ship and have to face a team hungry for the playoffs. CG got all of their lanes the shove advantage with the reward of a 5 minute ocean drake. MikeYeung was not allowed to play League of Legends all game as he got caught out in the jungle and in ganks. FOX then tried to force an infernal take. When CG arrived to contest, FOX did next to nothing missing several skillshots and watched as CG killed Mike, took the dragon, and picked off Solo and Fenix. Impeccable! This opened the floodgates to break open the map. Overextended mid? Who cares just take baron in the faces of FOX! They used this baron to break Echo Fox’s base which set them up to break the team itself.

100T vs FLY These 2 teams are neck and neck for a playoff berth. A win here would be critical in the event of a tiebreaker. In the early game, next to nothing happened. When level 6 hit, Pobelter flew in and caught out Amazing with the Shurima Shuffle. Later in the laning phase, the thieves pounced in the bot lane. WildTurtle killed aphromoo in the chaos and it seemed like the dive was a failiure. That was before Ryu came into clean up the mess and killed the bot laners in one fell swoop. This gave the thieves full reign over the midgame. After pushing down mid the thieves picked off Santorin which was the go signal to start baron. Not only did the thieves steal the cake, they also pummeled Flyquest into the river. They decided to play with their food and not end imediatly off of the initial baron push, instead opting to go slow and steady and take out multiple lanes at once. After taking their sweet time theyused the remaininder of the buff to finish their heist and rob Flyquest.

Afterthoughts With Team Liquid firmly in first place it’s going to be a race between C9, TSM, Optic, and CLG for second although it’s mainly between C9 and CLG right now.

Optic have established themselves as a playoff contender and seemed to have recover from their slump.

That battle for 6th is looking to be a real showdown as there are three 6-8 teams. Flyquest and Echo Fox are also in the race but they are on very thin ice.

So yeah I have nothing witty to close with.
