North america will lose worlds so hard this season it will make your head spin.
They always put up enough of a fight to atleast make a dent and an impression.
I don't think they will this time.
Dynamic queue doesn't work in north america largely because there aren't enough players to fill the gaps at the highest levels-- and that is because north america is a smallish region by number of ranked players, compared to korea and china (which don't have this problem)
Even with scrims and tournament realm, the pros in north america struggle to stay in games. They aren't getting the same amount of practice that they used to get. And what practice they are getting is against a smaller pool of good players because there is more talent in china and korea, simply because there are far more players in china and korea.
The N.A. pro scene is stagnating because of this, and it is more difficult than ever to estimate the skill of fresh talent based on any kind of metric or ranking, so it will likely stay stagnant.
