TSM Offseason

So...Biofrost, Doublelift, and Svenskeren are moving. We signed Zven, mithy, and MikeYeung. To be honest, I think that signing MikeYeung wasn't a horrible decision because even though Sven played great during Rift Rivals and the regular season, I felt like Sven lost a bit of his presence during the playoffs and Worlds. Now about Zven and mithy, Biolift was amazing last season and DL definitely showed his ability to play the hypercarries that were so strong in the meta and Biofrost was able to play item 3504 supports as well as playmaking supports. I was quite disappointed to find out that the were going to release DL and Biofrost but I think that being the team that we are we can definitely play around the new roster and communicate a really nice way. Although during the Winter we might be weak during Spring and Summer we are definitely going to dominate. I hope that Biofrost will be able to be a starter on the TSM Academy team as a veteran but the chance of that happening is very unlikely. I want this to happen because if Biofrost can learn shotcalling from mithy there isn't as much pressure on Bjergsen but however I think that Bjergsen should also be able to shotcall so right now I am conflicted.

I personally don't see how Mike will help TSM, as historically they have a habit of turning aggressive junglers into passive/"useless" wardbots (see: sven). Their botlane will also be somewhat interesting to watch, as they're kinda like "anti-DL" in that they play a bit more passive but make little mistakes.

Ultimately, 2018 will be a big year for bjerg, as if TSM doesn't do something massive with this iteration then I have a feeling a lot of people will be comparing him to froggen (much like I did after 2017 worlds, with his over-reliance on specific win condies as opposed to "I'm going to carry whenever I damn-well want to").

Not to beat the dead horse or anything but I agree with MYE's comment about TSM using their junglers as "useless wardbots". Another is yes, I too think Bjergsen NEEDS to actually do something, instead of playing passively while his jungler is around the whole game. On paper TSM looks great but each year the roster looks more and more stacked only to accomplish the same ol' same ol'

I'm actually not really excited for this lineup in particular. While they do have a place on the ballot for best profile acquisitions, it just feels like this formula doesn't scream complete synergy and dominance. TSM has the uncanny tendency to warp the play styles of its players not to mention overload any notable member they have with pressure by the regional fan base.

I'm leaning to focus on Mike for this upcoming split as he's the player with the place to prove. P1 didn't have the formula for success in the long run and as such the team wasn't the best for him. But with saying that, I don't believe in Zven or Mithy to just drag and drop the successes they had with G2 or OG and establish TSM as favorites. There's a lot of wiggle room that can be exploited and while reigning champs throughout the 2017 EU season, I feel the keyword to describe them is steady at best - not superior, dominant, etc. I need those starting weeks to really prove my doubts wrong.
