With every last circuit point finally collected, the top teams are locked into their spots for the upcoming playoffs. Currently, the top six teams will be moving on next week, with the top two teams receiving a first round bye. Once the playoff tournament concludes, the top three teams will advance to the relegation tournament, facing off against the 6th-8th place spring split finishers to decide who makes it into the LCS. Be sure to catch up on how your favorite teams are doing with this week’s recap!
What more can you say about XiaoWeiXiao? He’s always on point mechanically, constantly outplaying opponents, and eternally decimating his lanes. He’s the backbone of LMQ, proving it each and every game. In the first game, his Orianna picked apart each and every engage attempt from C9T and his Nidalee absolutely wrecked with spears in the second game. XiaoWeiXiao is a god of mid lane, so if you’re the last place team in LCS, be prepared for the pain train.
From the get go, Cloud 9 had issues with their picks and bans. From the get go, C9T let LMQ get any champion they wanted, and as the game continued, were unable to punish the strategic repeat performance from the Chinese powerhouse. Additionally, whether a result of a communication error or something worse, their 2v1 strategy, in which Yazuki essentially let LMQ win the lane for free, created even more problems. Out rotated and out played in nearly every lane, even with comfort picks, C9T will need to remedy these issues in order to advance in the upcoming playoff and promotion matches, as competition waxes stiffer than ever.
The top six teams move on to the playoffs, with compLexity Red and vVv Gaming playing for the 5th and 6th seeds.

Noteworthy of the Week
Curse Academy’s Jungle and Top Lane Synergy Curse Academy has long been known for their stellar teamwork, but this week was a particularly great example. Rhux and Pat were inseparable from the first gank onward, invading the jungle together, completely decimating GetSnuggled, and even sharing an adorable moment where Rhux warded for a Lee Sin Safeguard from Pat. They helped each other snowball the game to a victory, so if you ever need an example of the power of synergy – look no further than Rhux and Pat. LMQ’s Counter Engages Every time Cloud 9 Tempest tried to engage upon LMQ, they were utterly dismantled by LMQ’s split second decision making and reversals. Mor and Ackerman deserve a ton of credit for clutch re-engages upon C9T’s backline, while XiaoWeiXiao and Vasilii frequently escaped and turned the fight around from a safe distance. Almost nothing could hit LMQ’s backline while Mor and Ackerman were on the case, which was a key factor in their first place victory.Overachiever of the Week

Disappointments of the Week
vVv Gaming’s Early Game In last week’s recap and preview, I touched upon vVv being a late game team. The problem they’re currently facing, and reason they’re a disappointment this week, is that they can’t ever get there intact. If vVv can fix this issue, they’re easily a top 3 team, but at the moment they’re stagnating in the middle of the pack. Cloud 9 Tempest’s Pick and Ban Phase and Lane Strategy
