Although OGN starts very late in the night for North American views, and early in the morning for Europe, the quality of the Korean scene remains the deepest in competitive league. In 2014 there are a number of great reasons to watch Champions again while you prepare for All-Star Paris 2014.
5. InSec - back in the jungle
Probably the most well-known jungler in the world moved back into his home turf this season. InSeC has revolutionized Lee Sin play (and the maneuver now named after him) and how to optimize movement in the jungle in general. In the past most role swaps weren’t rewarded and led to a decrease in the player’s performance - but not for InSec.

While the first week of OGN wasn’t as smooth as we were used to seeing, he improved dramatically and dominated competition at IEM Katowice. His play on Kha’zix and Lee Sin was excellent but he also proved that he isn’t limited to those two champions.
Look for more highlight plays from InSec all season long as he becomes used to his native role once again.
4. KT Rolster Arrows - the young boys club
After showing potential in NLB in the previous season, KT Arrows was still a dark horse coming into the OGN qualifier. KT Rolster made roster changes during the offseason - they moved KaKAO, who is one of the most experienced players in the KT organization, to the Arrows to serve them as a guide. The change was a good one for KT A with KaKAO came the stability into the team which the newcomers lacked before. It’s not just stability KaKAO brought into the team but also an easy-going atmosphere which relieves a lot of pressure from the youngsters.

Following their new general KaKAO, KT Arrows seem to enjoy their time in the spotlight and in the booth. They are always laughing and enjoying the game even when they get outplayed; though that's less frequent than KT Arrows domination. Their new found confidence has showed this split, most notably during the group selection ceremony when KaKAO announced that he wants to have both SKT teams in their group so he could destroy the whole organization.
If you want to cheer for a funny, young, talented team stop your search and cheer for KT Arrows.
3. CJ Entus Frost - the old boys club
CJ Entus Frost fans had a hard time in the last few seasons. They seemed to become worse and worse until it seemed that they didn't have the skill to compete at the top level anymore. Even line up changes didn’t make it better for the team, but now CJ Entus Frost fans can celebrate together again. The recent additions with Swift and CoCo have sparked a resurgence in the team.

CoCo was the star player from Xenics Storm last season and carried his team to many surprising victories. His aggressive play style allows him to gain momentum to apply pressure in his lane and draws resources from the enemy team in other lanes.
Swift was another very good fit for what Frost needed to help the team leaders Shy and Madlife. They didn’t need another playcalling jungler and Swift fills the role of a supportive jungler who can read map movements very well but also has the mechanical skills to play aggressive junglers who can help snowball a lane early.
Together with CoCo they are exactly what CJ Entus Frost needed to bring back the frozen Kingdom.
2. DayDream - a nightmare for his foes
In Korea there is always a team or a player striving to become the best and challenge the already established elite. Following the tradition of CloudTemplar and Reapered, DayDream has become the catalyst for Neo Blaze 2.0; his map awareness, movement and execution are flawless. He knows where and when he needs to be to have a successful gank or counter-gank. His champion knowledge about dueling in the jungle seems to be unrivaled.

If your main role is jungle and you want to learn and improve then you should watch every Blaze game in OGN because DayDream could be your idol.
1. The Skill level - shaped by a cruel gauntlet
This gauntlet is called SoloQ which is most effective way to become a League of Legends pro in Korea. If you get high enough in the ladder and make a name for yourself, you have a chance to get picked up by one of the big teams. But once you get picked up, the gauntlet doesn’t stop it, it only gets more cruel because the moment a player slacks off, their replacement is waiting in line.
The skill level in OGN is steadily rising and reaching new heights not just for a few teams but throughout the league and right now the league is deeper with more parity than ever before. We have seen incredible close, high level and entertaining games where both teams pushed each other to new limits - and it's beautiful to watch.
