Like I said I would keep posting here. Time for some offseason laughs

TSM, all they have had over the years is domestic success and nothing else. At international events aside from a minor IEM event, it has been heartbreaking disappointment. This has lead to the culmination of a franchise whose quest for global dominance has brought them to insanity in a vain similar to the Detroit Tigers.

  • 2010: TSM’s founder Reginald, founded the organization to prove that he can make a team better than CLG.

  • 2011: TSM’s dominance across NA gives them a ticket to Season 1 Worlds.

  • Season 1 Worlds: You make it past the group stage along with Epik Gamer, march forth to glory.

  • Playoffs: You get sent to the losers bracket by All Authority.

  • Fortunately, you bounce back by sweeping Epik.

  • You then get swept in kind by All Authority ... again.

  • 2012: You have something to work off of from last year. Now look for vengeance!

  • Offseason: Reginald decides to not go to Korea and practice on their servers. That won’t bite you in the ass later on.

  • TheRainMan is clashing with Reginald and got cut. It’s not like you wanted him anyway as we have Dyrus to anchor the top lane for the next 3.5 years.

  • Staying in NA gives you unmatched domestic success and another ticket to worlds.

  • Season 2 Worlds: OK, you’re the only one from NA who made it past the group stage, fingers crossed.

  • Quarter Finals: They then get swept by Azubu Frost and fall victim to lazy stage design. That practice in Korea would have come in real handy now.

  • 2013: Who’s this Quantic Gaming who rebranded as C9 and why should I be worried.

  • Summer Split: They go 25-3 and sweep you aside in the playoffs. You still make worlds though, the catch, you have to survive the group stage with SKT.

  • Season 3 Worlds Group stage: TSM exits the group stage at 2-6 and Faker banished Reginald to the shadow realm.

  • 2014 Offseason: TSM is struggling and it's time for a shakeup Reginald decides to retire and signs a generational talent in Bjergsen to be their franchise midlaner.

  • 2014 Spring Split: Bjergsen still needs some time to adjust and C9 steamrolls their way to another split title.

  • 2014 Summer Split: Bjergsen finally adapts to NA and are true contenders again.

  • Summer Playoffs: You finally get past the Boys in Blue and win your 2nd title. Off to Worlds baby!

  • 2014 Worlds: You make it past groups along with your buddy in C9, who somehow slipped past Alliance.

  • 2014 Quarter Finals: Unfortunately both of you have to face the Samsung teams.

Games 1-2: Samsung White obliterate you.

  • Game 3: You sneak in a win against a comp with no waveclear. What do you want a medal. Try using this as momentum.

  • Game 4: Samsung go try hard and execute you. At least C9 kept it competitive.

  • 2014 Worlds Finals:That Samsung White team goes on to win Worlds. There’s always next year though.

  • 2015 Offseason: We can do better than Amazing. You rescue Santorin from the dumpster fire that is Team Coast and groom him into a ward.

  • IEM San Jose: You’re projected to make it to the finals with only the Unicorns of Love in your way, you should have no trouble at all.

  • Game 1: Twisted Fate jungle? Give me a break. Oh, it let PowerofEvil counterpick Bjergsen? Yep you’re screwed.

  • Game 2: What else does Kikis have up his sleeve, Wu-Kong I see. You should at least be able to adapt to their playstyle right? You are then put on the receiving end of one League’s greatest upsets.

2015 Spring Split: Plow your way to an 8-2 record by week 5.

  • IEM: Oh great you have to deal with the Undefeated GE Tigers, just get it over with. Wait, you’re telling me the Tigers choked against WE and all that stand in TSM’s way is CJ? TSM then proceed to win the whole thing. Your future is looking brighter than ever.

  • Rest of the Split: TSM then cruise to another title. Off to the first MSI.

  • 2015: Dyrus gets camped relentlessly and you go 1-4 …. woof.

  • 2015 Summer Split: You go 8-2 again after 5 weeks this should be wash rinse repeat.

  • Wildturtle that relic, he’s old. Kieth will replace him! Wait nvm.

  • Playoffs: How did you fall to 5th place?! Fortunately those playoff buffs kick in and you make the finals.

  • Summer Finals: Remember the soap opera that is CLG? They kick your ass and sweep you. Though you still make it back to Worlds.

  • 2015 Worlds: D for Group of death am I right? Also this represented the end of an era as you have to say goodbye to Dyrus as he retires.

  • 2016 Offseason: Time to clean house. Replace everyone but Bjergsen.

  • 2016 Spring: This year you have the dream team. You have a fresh rookie in Hauntzer in the top lane, a mechanical hotshot EU jungler in Svenskeren, Bjergsen elite as ever, heck you even got the prizes of Doublelift and YellowStar. No need for baby steps boys.

  • They then struggle throughout the Split plagued by synergy issues. Who knew that replacing your entire roster would take some time to mesh.

  • 2016 Spring Playoffs: You still make to the finals with CLG waiting for you. You lose to CLG more painfully than before. No MSI for you!

  • 2016 Summer Split: Ok so YellowStar didn’t quite work out. We need some youth at the Support position, so you’ll settle for this BioFrost fella.

  • BioFrost is an absolute unit. You have a near perfect record, unfortunately you made Dyrus go bald, with the best players in each position.

  • Playoff Finals: Doublelift denies C9 the chance at a game 5 and you’re off to Worlds once again. Anything less than a deep playoff run will be a disappointment.

  • 2016 Worlds Groups: Look at Doublelift pop off on Luci… he then runs into and gets oneshot by Crown. This summarizes their time at Worlds.

  • 2017: Same roster same goal, international success. Though you need Wildturtle as Doublelift is off to the Spirit Realm for the Spring.

  • Spring Split Finals game 5: You capitalize on Jensen not pressing R and you make it back to MSI.

  • MSI play ins: Who are these GigaByte Marines. There’s no way you’re losing to a wild card team.

You barely make it to groups off the skin of your teeth in a reverse sweep.

  • MSI Groups: You become the tournament’s punching bag and don’t even make it past Groups.

  • 2017: Doublelift is back you should have no trouble this Split.

  • Rift Rivals: Riot introduced this event to replace IEM and you make quick work of EU.

  • Summer Finals: You make mincemeat of Immortals and are back at Worlds. Cmon, you have Bjergsen firing on all cylinders, Doublelift back in the groove, your roster has international experience this has to be the year.

  • 2017 Worlds Groups: Alright, you’re only one win from making it past Groups against Misfits.

  • They trip over themselves the entire game as Hauntzer gets bullied for the entire game after a botched early game. Legend has it that Doublelift’s flash is still yet to be used.

  • 2018 Offseason: Doublelift and BioFrost keep choking at Worlds? We can do better than them, you got yourselves the best in the West. Also we ruined Svenskeren, let’s go waste MikeYeung.

  • 2018 Spring Split: Again 2 words, synergy issues!

  • Playoffs: Playoff buff .exe has crashed due to how much it’s been abused and you miss the finals for the first time.

  • 2018 Summer Split: Your roster should finally be able to gel together now. You also chose a jungler who suits you as the living embodiment of a ward in Grig.

  • C9 is 10th place? The world is your oyster now.

  • Failure in Spring prevents you from participating in Rift Rivals.

  • Playoffs: You’re up against your nemesis in C9 in the Semifinals. Unfortunately the power of anime was too much and they clutch it out in game 5.

  • Regionals: You bounce back and catch on fire against Echo Fox. There’s only one obstacle between you and Worlds, Cloud 9! Now go on and slay your rival.

  • Licorice’s Hecarim rampages over you and you get swept and miss Worlds for the first time. Pfttt Hahahahahahahahahah.

  • The twist of the knife is that both Doublelift and Svenskeren made it to Worlds.

  • That C9 team goes on to make history and become the first NA team to make it to the Worlds semifinals and did so with Svenskeren.

  • 2019 Offseason: The “Best in the West” isn’t working out and we can’t get Doublelift back. Let’s replace Mithy with an aggressive support in Smoothie. You also get former CLG coach Zikz. The big signing though was in Akaadian to make a potent tandem with him and Grig.

  • 2019 Spring Split: You catch steam after a slow start and are favorites going into the playoffs.

  • Semifinals: Oh boy C9 is sweeping you again. Wait, did you pull off a reverse sweep? Onward to your destiny!

  • Spring finals: You’re up by 2 games against Team Liquid, MSI awaits!

  • Game 3: You lose a hard fought game 3. Yeah so no sweep.

  • Game 4: ………….

  • Game 5: They have a late game comp so as long as you can finish early you should be fine

  • Liquid are able to prolong the game and overpower you in a late game slug fest.

Liquid then go on to make history and upset IG.

  • 2019 Summer Split: You’re back with only the thought of vengeance in mind.

  • 2019 Rift Rivals: You trip over yourselves throughout the tournament with EU trolling the whole way. At least C9 has the excuse that their cosplayer is ill.

  • 2019 Summer Split: CLG is done being bullied by you and beat you for the first time since the 2016 Spring Finals. So long to your favorite pastime.

  • 2019 Summer Playoffs: Despite spinning the tires all split, this is your chance to put that behind for a strong run.

  • Oh hey it’s Clutch Gaming. We have two serviceable junglers in Grig and Akaadian who each bring unique play styles to the table screw that let’s chuck the rookie Spica into the fire.

It goes as well as you think.

  • 2019 Gauntlet: Because you lost in the quarters: you get sent to the gauntlet. Let’s see who you have to face. Oh it’s Clutch Gaming again. Time to avenge for the playoffs.

  • Games 1 & 2: You guys look great and you are one game away from returning to worlds

  • Game 3: Damonte and Cody Sun carve up your team and base

  • Game 4: Close game except one bad teamfight mid cost you the game. Also you gave them 2 infernals.

  • Game 5: Get melted alive by Cody Sun’s Kog’Maw never to see the light of day and you miss worlds.

The good news is that NA shits themselves at worlds. It’s not like you guys would have done any better.

With each wasted split a piece of Bjergsen’s soul is collected. If only you guys had someone like Xmithie as your jungler. Your solution is Dardoch. The epitome of high risk and high reward. Oh and you fully replaced the “Best in the West” by replacing Zven with Kobbe.

Zven is off to C9. It would be hilarious if he puts together an MVP campaign.

TSM against SSW game 4 was competitive to the point where they actually had a great play to get 1-2 inhibs but Amazing Khazix F'ed it up. WildTurtle's Lucian running from 2-3 SSW players from the top side of botside to TSM's blue was really funny.

did you forget zven was the key that set off their whole chain throw at the hands of liquid pre 2019 MSI?

Xmithee was the weakest link in TL, he got replaced accordingly. i feel the TSM crew sould be more comfortable with dardoch with their prior interactions anyway.

the latter part of the decisionmaking seems like a coach and organizational problem rather than player fault, and i get youre throwing shade at the company rather than the players either way but that's just something i'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt for.

team liquid only beat iG because of the internal conflict happening at the time, it is widely regarded as the organizations worst "best-of" series ever played in its decade old history(Invictus gaming precedes the LPL itself). it is a complete fluke. iG completely curbstomped TL in worlds groups in a rock-paper-scissors fashion with Damwon knocking their asses out before they hit quarterfinals. honestly I still think TSM will lose to iG if they were the ones to go to MSI but I dont question G2's place in that particular MSI only am LPL powerhouse can top them. they simply have a playstyle that counteracts the traditionally more slow, methodical korean approach to league.

Have you watched the TSM documentary made by Gbay? it explains the behind-the curtains internal branding decisions and is a good watch overall. would recommend.
