Would you become a professional gamer if given the chance?

Do you want to see your school have an eSports department?

Do they think that it is worth it to become a professional gamer?

Yes Esports should definitely be in the college curriculum. It is a classic dream to become a traditional sports star, so many youths train and practice as hard as they can to pursue careers in professional leagues. They can even earn scholarships to fund their degrees. Some students don't have the same kind of natural, physical talent to become great athletes. Why shouldn't gamers be given the same chance to earn money for school by developing talents they DO have? You may argue that gamers can simply obtain academic scholarships because of their intelligence, but that is a stereotype that assumes video game players are all gifted scholastic minds as well. Video games and school subject matter are not the same. To answer the other questions of the prompt, it is just as worth it to become an Esports star as it is any other sport. If given a reasonable chance I wouldn't hesitate to do so. There are many like me who have far better gaming skills than athletic skills and for colleges to not include Esports is only an unfair penalty to the potential of such students. Even the Olympics are going to include Esports into the lineup, and since the Olympics are definitely the world standard, universities should take note and expand the opportunities they can offer.
