After a bit of a weak start to the season, SK Gaming has made a roaring comeback in the past few weeks, and are now sitting at the top of the leaderboard. With stellar team play and impressive individual efforts, they’ve proven themselves to be excellent choices to send to Paris this summer for the 2014 All-Star tournament.
Top: fredy122

If you’re looking for a guy willing to do anything to win, fredy122 is your man. A true student of the game, SK’s top laner will always be thoroughly studying the game and finding ways to either play perfectly to the meta - or find a way to break it entirely.
This season, he’s been focusing a lot on getting the ever-feared Renekton, a champion that as of late doesn’t die often. Always near the top of the list in the farming numbers, he’ll often avoid team fights in favor of shoving down towers and creating map pressure for the rest of his teammates to take advantage of. In recent weeks, he’s been favoring champions like Aatrox and Jax to further his perpetual goal of winning the objectives game against whoever SK happens to get matched up against.
Jungle: Svenskeren

Much of SK’s recent success can be tied directly to Svenskeren. When he’s playing well, his team has little chance of losing. And fortunately for them, he’s only been getting better this season. After a rocky start, he’s found his groove in the LCS by playing carry junglers like Evelynn and Pantheon, preferring to provide an additional source of high damage to his team rather than play it safe with someone tankier.
If his hot streak continues, he’ll be an absolute blast to watch on the international stage. He’s got the potential to carry entire games by himself - especially with some of the impressive Grand Skyfalls he’s landed lately. When Svenskeren appears from the woods, not many escape.
Mid: Jesiz

A perfect counterpart to Svenskeren’s dive-oriented play, Jesiz loves to go deep. Known for his Nidalee, he’s not afraid to take risks and head under tower as soon as he thinks he’s got his opponent low enough to drop them in cougar form. Sporting a massive 7.6 KDA across five games with the Huntress, the champion is to be feared in his hands.
That doesn’t mean he’s a slouch on his other champions, though. He’s had huge showings with Lulu, Ziggs, and Ahri this season, all of which he’s played in his signature all-in style. Whether it’s Whimsy, a well-placed Satchel Charge, or Spirit Rush, an activation of movement buffing ability for Jesiz often means a risky, but impressive looking, attempt at a kill.
As a player who gets up in his opponents’ faces with otherwise long-range champions, Jesiz is one of the most exciting mid laners to watch in the European LCS.
AD Carry: CandyPanda

There’s no one CandyPanda can’t play. He may have been known for his Tristana when he was coming up in the pro scene, but he’s shown proficiency with just about every champion he’s played on the LCS stage. If you’re looking for someone to bring out a crazy pick in an All-Star match, it’d likely be him.
His KDA may not be sky-high at 4.8, but he’s not one to let his team down when it counts. His massive champion pool allows him to play whatever his team needs, and he knows how to win games via objectives, even if he’s down in the gold count. He doesn’t always carry on his own, but he knows how to let the rest of the team do it for him.
Support: nRated

If you’ve been paying attention to the European scene of professional League of Legends for any amount of time, you probably have at least gotten an inkling of who nRated is. One of the most experienced players in the world, he’s been playing since the earliest days of League, and has been one of the best support players in the world throughout.
Known for his clutch stuns that can completely turn team fights around, you can always count on nRated to make the plays necessary for his team to win. Both his Annie and his Thresh have been near-perfect throughout the season, racking up KDAs of 4.3 and 4.2 on each, respectively. And that’s not even to mention his recent introduction of Kayle to his roster, on which he’s racked up 16 assists to zero deaths across two games in two of SK’s more recent LCS wins. Thanks to his veteran status in the role, any team would be lucky to have nRated holding down the bottom lane.
Regardless of who you choose, there’s bound to be some excellent play come All-Star Paris 2014 in May. Voting begins on Sunday, March 30th. Be sure to check out lolesports.com as the date approaches, as we’ll be sure to post more info on the format and voting process. But most of all, vote to show your support for your favorite players and teams!
