Tournament Structure and Details:

What: League of Legends Tournament - 5v5 Summoner's Rift-NA-Best of 3 matches

When: December 27th, 28th and 29th 2013. Matches of played from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM EST

Where: Play from home-LoL NA client

Tournament Prizes (based on number of participating teams)

16-20 teams ($700 overall prize pool)

1st Place: $350 +3200 RP & Triumphant Ryze skin for every player

2nd Place:$175 +2400 RP per player

3rd Place: $100 +1600 RP per player

4th Place: $75 +800 RP per player

21-32 teams ($850 overall prize pool)

1st Place: $400 +3200 RP & Triumphant Ryze skin for every player

2nd Place:$200 +2400 RP per player

3rd Place: $125 +1600 RP per player

4th Place: $75 +800 RP per player

34-63 teams ($1,250 prize pool)

1st Place: $600 +3200 RP & Triumphant Ryze skin for every player

2nd Place:$ 300 +2400 RP per player

3rd Place: $250 +1600 RP per player

4th Place: $100 +800 RP per player

65-82 teams ($2,000 prize pool)

1st Place: $1,000 +3200 RP & Triumphant Ryze skin for every player

We now have a “free Agent” process where you can sign up for the tournament as an individual or group 1-4 and will be matched with other players who do not have full teams, this way you can get the tournament experience without having a full team of 5 Sign-ups will be $40 per team, or $8 for a free agent ticket. Tournament Process:

1.) Review our rules and tournament description

2.) Purchase a tournament ticket You will receive order confirmation e-mails

3.)TLG will add your team to our database and roster (you can change your roster until the first tournament match is played.)

4.) TLG will send a series of e-mails containing information about a week before your first match. Information concerning future matches will be sent ASAP. Examples of information contained in the e-mails:

A.)Opponent

B.)Date and time of first game - if you play more than one match in a day we will provide additional information

C.)Name of lobby for team to enter

5.) Log-in to LoL NA client, either find the lobby manually or accept the invite to the lobby by a TLG Admin

6.) Play matches (best of 3 will move on)

Matches begin 11:00 AM and the last match will begin 12 AM EST

Matches are broadcasted by TLG to our Twitch TV channel and will be posted on youtube at a later date

TLG will record match outcome and update bracket

7.) TLG will send an e-mail(s) containing information as it becomes available for future matches your team will play

8.) If your team finishes in 1, 2, 3, 4 or wins the random prize drawing, TLG will contact you via your preferred mode of communication.

TLG delivers monetary prizes via check or wire transfer If you select wire transfer-the wire transfer fee charged by the bank (usually $35-$40) will be
taken from the team’s winnings prior to being sent

9.) The week after the tournament, TLG will create reviews of each match for the winning and losing team featuring:

A.) Key Moments of each match

B.) Strategies used by both teams and different roles

C.) Builds

D.) Rating each team's and individual player performance on a scale A, B, C, D & F

E.) Tips and suggestions on how to improve for tournaments and matches your team may play

The captain is the person who will be the team's contact with Top Lane Gaming and will determine what bank account the grand prize is sent to. Be able to trust them! We have added more prize tiers. This allows more money to be given to the winners at lower tier levels. If anyone has any suggestions on how we can improve this and future tournaments please do not hesitate to let us know. We do listen and consider all comments. We want the gamers to have a large influence on the tournament since we are not here without their support.

So can anyone join, no ranking restrictions? This seems like a lot of fun to me, maybe I will get some friends together, my highschool has a very much loosy goosy ranked team, maybe I can find some peeps to get together :P

ooooooo, very tempting. Hope to get my ranked team in here, or at the very least my roommate and I. I say hope largely because if the timing. That sweet spot in between Christmas and new years is always a maelstrom of conflicting plans XD

This is going to cause more problems than it's meant to solve. If you're going to allow for free agents then you need to find a way to make sure those free agents are rewarded individually. There's just way too much potential for abuse otherwise.
