So I was watching the rebroadcast for the worlds finals earlier...

...and people were just spamming the chat with jokes about how faker cried, they just relentlessly insulted and laughed at him, it was pretty harsh. But we have to remember, Faker is a human being, he may be good, but he has hopes, he has dreams, and he has emotions. imagine if you were in his shoes, being called the best of the best on a almost daily, if not daily basis, you've won worlds 3 times in a row, undefeated in actually winning it, 100% winrate on ryze in worlds too, and earlier you came back from a 2-0 match even when no one expected it, then you lose teamfight after teamfight, most of it wasn't exactly your fault though, you excuted almost perfectly, but you still lose, the first loss you've ever had at worlds. wouldn't you be defeated too? EDIT: oh and not to mention, he had eyes, around the entire world, watching him, there were also all the people in the stadium. No matter what you think or say, having that many eyes on you, while also having your team counting on you, would definitely affect play.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't like Faker all that much, I think he's arrogant and uptight, however, I felt really really bad to see him upset. He's still a human being, and I know that. Just because I don't like him doesn't mean I wished him to feel badly. I think anyone making fun of him needs to man up. The kid is doing what he loves, and probably the only thing he'll ever do in his life (career-wise). Failing at something you really love and you give your all to is heartbreaking. So as much as I don't really like the dude, everyone should cut him some slack.

I don't write this because I think is unjust people made fun of Faker. He was like a classic salty LOL player that types "ez" at first blood and then losing the match. Is fun to be like that... until you lose. He was not acting.. like Conor McGregor, he meant all the cocky lines he said. And that's why he cried... the sky is falling down :D

Plus remember, they are payed a lot... he is rich enough not to care about losing the 1st position money... as a poor guy, I don't feel so bad for him :D.

What amazes me is that they are not mature enough to take a lose at this professional level... feeling bad? I feel for him. Crying? I feel for him... not being able to stand up and shake winners hands bcuz you cry so much... well that's 12 years old ego and I don't feel for him. ESPORTS pros seems to be clicking machines (except Misfits, those guys are awesome)

I think Riot did a mistake not to give some silver medals to the second place... that would have cost them nothing, but probably they didn't think about it. Like in soccer championship ceremony, first silver medals then gold medals.

Guy, I don't even pay attention to Twitch chat. It's a hivemind mentality, everyone finds themselves an edgelord on there, with just a bunch of memes to spout.

Normal people like you and I understand what happened and don't bother making a joke out of it. That's the human kindness that's hard to find on the internet. Too much anonymity so no one can get their shit kicked out of them.

Not a fan of assholes being assholes but, Faker is a "professional" paid way too much money to play a video game. Crying over it is not the best way to show professionalism. Half the reason people watch "sporting" events is to watch the favorite fall. So, if you want to compete at that level you need to have the dignity to lose with decorum. He also represents a brand (SOUTH KOREA TELECOM) that does not want you behave that way.

Kids making fun of other kids is never good, but if you want to make money and be treated like an adult you need to behave like one. His actions were not up to that standard. So, frankly while I feel bad for him, his actions prompted and gave opportunity to the posts.

Did you actually watch it? He played poorly, just like everyone else on his team. Other teams are starting to catch up and honestly his run has been a long time. A lot of Pro gamers dont last forever, only 5 or so years.

But to make my point. After SKT lost, the only thing people talked about is how good Faker is, and how amazing SKT is... No, they lost hard. People need to respect them as a team, but stop acting like they are gods among men.

Unfortunately this is just the nature of Twitch chat on large channels most of the time as allot of Twitch chat users only use it to make fun of and insult other people when they make a mistake. In the future I would recommend just using the lolesports site to watch the games. If not that then simply just don't put too much stock in Twitch chat and/or just ignore it altogether as you're rarely gonna find any helpful or constructive chat there,

P.S. You shouldn't let the poor behaviors of Twitch chat (or Youtube chat if watching live from there) discourage you from watching games. I understand your concerns but to me it just seems like a pointless reason to try to justify not watch the games.
