TSM Went to Semi's in the very first League of Legends World Championship, BUT worlds didn't invite Korea, or China. TSM has also qualified for every single World Championship competition, but never broken out of Groups since Korea became part of the mix. TSM has also always been top half of NA, Either being a favorite to win a split and falling just short, or winning the split.

C9 Has Missed 1 worlds competition since their inception going to 4/5 BUT 3/4 times, c9 has broken out of groups into Quarters. C9 stormed onto the rift posting the most dominant 2 seasons in the world until IMT came along and tied their performance 2 years later. C9 has also been a favorite to win or outright won NA Splits, with regularity after surprising everyone their first year. They have never won a World Championship.

Given the info, who's actually the better team?

Cloud 9 has never missed a Worlds since they joined the LCS. When they first entered the scene in the Summer of 2013.
They came into the LCS in 2013 and was already in Worlds at the Knockout stage they didn't compete in the group stage but was 2-1 by Fnatic. 2014 they faced SSB in the QT but was 3-1 2015 they were 3-0 in the groups but lost their next 4 games ending at 3-4.

2013 didn't compete in groups, they were given a bye from groups.
2014 did compete in groups and made it out but needed a tie breaker to do so 4-3 2015 did not make it out of groups. They lost their tie breaker 3-4.
2016 did compete in groups and made it out. 3-3.

" TSM has also qualified for every single World Championship competition, but never broken out of Groups since Korea became part of the mix. " TSM made it out of groups in 2014. Samsung White/Samsung Blue/Najin Sword were all LCK teams during the 2014 Worlds.

TSM has a better record in their NA LCS. Mostly because of Bjreg being a hard carry. However, in Worlds, his ability to dominate while still present is just now as effective as mid landers are better.

C9 tends to get #1-3 during splits. However they only made huge roster change this year. In worlds, C9 out performs EVERY NA lcs team because they don't have one carry; they tend to do better with picks and bans as well as better strategy for different regions

The way I see it, G2 and TSM have this strategy or play style that works really good in their own region because of familiarity of other teams. In addition to their lack of experience in international play, they get destroyed in worlds.

C9 does not have that weakness; st least not as apparent

please correct me if i'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure TSM not only made it out of groups in 2014 but they also took a game off of the team that won that year... which was a korean team

I'm sick of TSM seriously. This year I thought for once since Bjergsen wasn't the only shot caller and the best player by a mile they had a real shot.

TSM is the only team with that has attended EVERY SINGLE WORLD TOURNAMENT. Yet there lucky to get out of groups, and if they do never even won Quarters (since Season 1 I think.)

I think the only other teams with that much international experience are C9 and FNC. And while FNC hasn't won since Season 1, those two teams actually show up and put on a show.
