Riot too focused on making matches 'fast'
Riot has, for years, been looking for ways to make matches faster and 'bloodier'. While there is some merit to this, I don't think anyone wants to go back to the days of HotshotGG farming top lane for 30 minutes before anything happens, there are a lot of flaws with the extremes Riot and their casters take it to.

Traditional Sports. While there isn't a direct correlation here, we know that people will and do watch games that take hours to play out. Is there a game less action-packed than Baseball? Possibly, but it would be hard to find and yet millions still watch it. A lot of that may have to do with fans' team loyalty, an issue eSports has struggled with; nevertheless, we know people will watch long games.

Snowballing. All the mechanics Riot has introduced to make games shorter has only exacerbated the ease and power of snowballing a lead, which in turn has solidified this top-half/bottom-half concept for teams and widens the gap between them. Imagine if the NFL got rid of offensive and defensive lines and running backs, and it's just QB's, receivers, and the secondary. It'd be faster paced and more action, but that doesn't mean it would be better.

Brand. I don't know how Riot feels about it, but most companies tend to frown when people they pay start shitting on their products. It's surreal to me how casters, especially Kobe, Jatt, and Vedius will start shitting on games that don't end as fast as they think they should. It could be they view this more as shitting on teams, which could be in turn related to Riot showing less professional respect towards players than any other sport.
I dunno, I feel like not everyone wants to see a 20 minute snowball stomp, which is just as, if not more, uninteresting to watch as a 60 minute macro game.
